Recover health and AP
Sent in by Chris Adams
When in the town with the coliseum go to the bar in the day. Talk to
the barkeep and say yes to kill time while waiting for night to fall.
When night comes, your health and AP will be recovered.
Beat the machine at the church
Sent in by Adam Norfleet
The easiest way to beat the machine at the church without
destroying the old man is this: Bring along the Hero (of course),
Bleu, Rand, and Nina. Be sure to bring along plenty of Wfruits to
restore the Hero's magic points. You should focus all of your strength
against the healing eye at first. Have Bleu cast Attack up on the hero,
the hero should use a dragon puppy spell and regular attacks when his
AP is used up. Bleu's main attack be strong individual attacks like
Freeze. Have Rand heal the group accordingly and also have Nina attack
with her strongest spell. The second eye you should defeat should be
the one that casts flame, then the one that casts freeze.
Get 2 antidote for 1G
Sent in by Landon
Once you are able to enter your "dressing room" in the Coliseum in
Coursair, go in and get the 1000G in the treasure chest. Do not enter
through the top door yet! Leave the coliseum, go to the bank, and
deposit all of your money into the bank except for 1G. When you go
back to the coliseum and go through the top door, Rand will ask you
to give him all the money you have to get 2 antidote. You will then
give him all your money...1G!
Recipes
Sent in by Norfleet
If you have the cooking carpenter at Hometown, here are some recipes you
can use to create items that permanently raise your status.
GutsBL: 2 Shaveice increase in Guts
Dinker: 2 Frizbee increase in Agility
LuckCandy: F.Spice + Shaveice increase in Luck
Stamina: 2Tuna + F.Spice increase in Stamina
MisSoup: 2F.Spice increase in wisdom
Pwrfood: 3Shaveice increase in Strength
Most of these items needed to make the power-ups are found at the item
shop in Guntz. You can buy the fish from Daiye, if you have invited him to
Township. If you haven't, I believe he is in one of the shops at Windia.

Trouts house tip
Sent in by Norfleet
When Bow is asked to go into Trouts house for a second time, you should
always take Ryu along with you. This way the enemies will be easier to kill
and you will gain levels quicker.
Charm tip
Sent in by Norfleet
One of the most useful Items you can equip in the Etc. section on your
character screen is the charm. The charm protects you from sleep,
poison, zombie, and curses. (Or anything else that gives you bad status)
To get these items, you can either fight the Chorkings on the northernmost
island on the map or I believe you can buy them from Hanz once you
invite him to Township. He is in the building next to yours in Hometown.
List of people you can get to join township
Sent in by Norfleet
Here is a list of people you can get to join township after you have chosen
a carpenter from Captian.
In House 1 you can have:
Back: He can be found in the Armory in Guntz.
Bonus: He can increase a characters defense power by 4 points for a battle
or two.
Hekkeler: He can be found in Hometown in the apartment building right next
to yours.
Bonus: He sells Fire weapons that are quite strong.
Kay: She is in the Church at Coursair.
Bonus: She can make you immune to poison attacks for a few battles.
Poo: He is in the Pub at Coursair.
Bonus: He goes away and comes back with various items to help you.
Watts: He is in the Carnival when it is at Tunlan only.
Bonus: He gives you a hint on how to get the hidden character, Bleu.
HOUSE 2
Bockden: In the cave where you meet the monster when you were a child.
Bonus:????
Lemmington: In the building next to the inn at Captian.
Bonus: Sets up an armory.(Not a good one)
MacClean: On the seashore where the man who gives you the whale bell lives.
Bonus: Takes you to a fishing spot filled with huge fish that are hard to
catch, unless you have a strong rod.
Win: Somewhere in the Joker's cave.
Bonus: Can change the color of the background on the item screen,
and the message boxes.
HOUSE 3
Azura: In Mt. Fubi.
Bonus: Takes you to a secret hunting spot filled with wild animals.
Baretta: In Windia's armory shop
Bonus: Opens an armory shop that gets better as you progress in the game.
Locker: In the inn at Captian.
Bonus: Can change the color of your entire town.
Marcotti: In the Pub at Coursair
Bonus: Freeloader
Woopi: Church in Hometown
Bonus: Fortune teller
HOUSE 4
Barose: Inside of Gandaroff's mind. I think in the town with the kids in it.
Bonus: He teaches you spells depending on what color that dragon diamond is
on the message box.You must have 1 hit point and 0 magic points for this
to work. If the diamond is flashing different colors, that character you
have chosen will obtain the spell, Missile. Keep saying NO to get the
diamond flashing.
Karashinikofu: Northern most building in Guntz.
Bonus: Sells fire weapons and armor.
HOUSE 5
Akky: House west of the sea of trees
Bonus: Must be talked to by Katt's shamanized form. Has a bunch of kittens.

is invited to stay in house 5.

"You will fight that guy" and gives you 5000 coins

Bonus: Builds statues of your party members
Surfy: East of Tagwoods. Use Sten to reach the Peninsula
Bonus: Opens a bank
Sumner: Plain building in Tunlan
Bonus: Plays music tracks from the game
In my opinion, this would be the best setup for Township.
House 1: Hanz
House 2: Win
House 3: Baretta
House 4: Barose
House 5: Hanz
House 6: Daiye
Nine Tail Whip
Sent in by Norfleet
To obtain Spars most powerful weapon the, Nine Tail Whip, go to the
bottom of the screen in the room before the final boss. In this small
room will be a teleporter. Don't go in it. Instead walk around and
continue to fight enemies called Zodiacs. I advise you to take the
shamanized form of Sten so he can use his "Sway" ability. The Zodiacs
are very difficult to beat, so make sure you have a healer in your party.
This will take a while, but if you are lucky you will earn the Nine Tail
Whip from these monsters. It took me 75 Zodiacs to obtain this weapon,
and it doesn't seem worth it. But if you have to have the best this is the
way. The Zodiacs also drop Army Gloves too sometimes.
Barretta
Sent in by Norfleet
Whatever you do, be sure to get Barretta to fill house number 3 in
Township. She can be found in the armory at Windia. When you first get
her, her equipment stinks horribly but her inventory gets better as
you progress on your journey. Near the end of the game, she will have the
best weapons, for Bow, and Rand:The Death Bow and the Kaiser Knuckle.
Blue tip
Sent in by Norfleet
After you find Blue and have built her strength up, you should put her in
the front of whatever battle setup you have. This tip is useful because
whoever is in the front of the party takes the most hits, and whenever
Blue's HP gets low you can always use her shed ability. This preserve a
little of the other party members HP.
Fighting Coursair
Sent in by Adam Norfleet
When you first find the Fireball item inside Fuji mountains, don't use it
until you get to Coursair. Trust me, it will help you defeat the boss
demon there. If you already used it, the battle will be extremely hard.
How to make a ton of money and powerfoods
Sent in by Logan Hudson
Get the Carpenter who builds the normal houses and the guy who starts
the item shop. Buy Condup. from the Item shop and cook 3 to get Gold Bar
which can be sold to get 6000 gp. Doubling what you spent on the 3
Condup.s. And now amass a small fortune (at least 100,000 gp.) and
buy medicates Cook two medicates to get a power food. Repeat until
all characters have 255 strength.
Shaman combinations

Nina: Holy + Wind = Angel Queen

to run away (works 95% of the time).

back double next round.
Rand: Earth + Water = Earth Critter
Special: Still Wake.
Sten: Fire + Wind = Efreeti

Earth + Water = Bud
Special: Bud. Spar will go berserk.
Devii + Fire = Snap Dragon
Special: Still Nature.
Where do you find the Life Armor?
Sent in by Mog
First you have to fish for it near Monster Island. Monster Island is a
northern island with huge versions of GongHead, those green slimes,
and the TsiFly. There's a fishing spot in the north part of the island,
and the Life Armor should be there. It might take a few tries before
you get it, I suggest using the Urchin bait. You can only reach Monster
Island with the whale, the Great Bird (Mina), or the flying Township.
Fighting the A.Sludge
Sent in by Paul Owen
When fighting the A.Sludge on Giant Island, a very easy way to defeat
him is to cast the Death spell on him. It is guaranteed to work every
single time!
Lots of experience
Sent in by Karl Rollmann
Go to the Island that has the really good but expensive weapon shop.
Fight or use Sten's Swch ability until you find an enemy that is like
the other skeletons riding horses but these are purple. If you manage
to kill them you get a huge amount of experience.
Get the Love BR before you go fight Barubary
Sent in by Steven
You can get the Love BR before you go fight Barubary. All you need to do is
go fishing off of the northern section of Giant island. Get the treasure box
and it is in there. Also for those of you who are wondering what the Skull
BR does listen up. All it does is raise the chance of a successful death spell.
Many faces of Spar
Sent in by James Repchull
1) With the Devil Shaman, Spar will look all wilted and gain piles of MP
2) With the Water Shaman, Spar will turn into a cute girl who can put
the enemies to sleep, if there's not a backwind, then your team will be
put to sleep.
3) With the Earth Shaman, Spar will become a rosebud, that is a rather
good attacker, and can Bud to be even stronger, but berserk.
4) With Fire and Devil, Spar will become a dragon! This form is strong
and has high MP, and can use Nature.
When forming a team, make sure the Shamans don't conflict. For
example: Both Sten and Nina use the Wind Shaman, so they can't be
used together for maximum effect.
Here's a good example (and the team I recommend)
1) Hero: he doesn't use and Shamans, so he's safe.
2) Sten: Fire and Air. He can Switch enemies, turning a hand encounter
into an easy one, and he often moves first.
3) Bow: Holy and Devil. What team is complete without a healer. When
he's morphed, he can hit all the enemies, and kill hunted animals easier.
4) Spar: Water or Earth. He has magic and high HP.
Get the girl who wants to be a nurse in the town. She will make you
immune to poison for a while, and boosters are rarely needed. Also,
the girl in Windia who wants to be a shopkeeper will get better items
from time to time. Other sellers are just leeches who aren't useful
once their weapons are outdated.
Beginning of the game tip
Sent in by Mike
After you receive the Suzy quest in the beginning of the game, get the
LifePl from the shelf to the right of the Rangers Guild master and go
sell it in the items shop. Buy the fishing rod with the money, and as
many worms as you can. Go out next to the town and walk around until
you get into a fight. Keep doing this, and you will eventually get a
fishing spot on the left coast. Fish in this spot until you have caught
all the fish or used all your worms. Go back into town, and you can sell
groups of 9 Unagi or Sardines for 270 gold! You can keep doing this for
however long you want to and can build up a small starting fortune.
Also, once you have gotten to around level 10 or so, you can keep going
to the spot and selling the Sardines, but keep the Unagi! They will heal
all of your HP's, and you can sell roasts for the difference! I have used
this method and saved tons of gold on herbs and Helpballs, and you can
get some more money from the Sardines as you collect the Unagi!
Buster Sword
Sent in by JCFan
If you defeat the Uparapa it will give you the option to let it go. If you
do so, the Uparapa will give you a treasure chest with the Buster Sword
in it. You can then go back to the boss and tell him that you'll give him
nothing. You'll end up fighting him. But, then again, you'll end up fighting
him no matter what you do.
Bow tip
Sent in by JCFan
Bow is the only character which can be joined with two Shamans of opposing
elements, the Holy Nad Devil Shamans, this will turn him into a huge robot.
And, arguably, the toughest character in the game.
Fly
Sent in by Cecil
When you fight Ganer, don't kill him, kill the other things. Then go to
Guntz at the top house. Go behind the shelves and talk to the person.
Say machine. She will go to your town. Go Into the well and talk to
the person. Ganer will come in and you're town will fly and land
anywhere but water, cliffs, trees towns and signs.
K.Sludge
Sent in by Lewis
1. On giant island you can find the rare enemy K.Sludge. Except for the
enormous amount of exp. - points you receive if you defeat them (in
fact the biggest amount in the game) you can also get:
1.) SacredSH
2.) Army Glove Bring the Djinni along and use "Svea" to find them, it might
take a while though.
Meow Staff
Sent in by Lewis
You can receive the Meow Staff after defeating the enemy Carm, who
only appears after you`ve past the gate in the Dragon Town.
Earn a Goldbar
Sent in by Carlo
After you build Township and have the whale, swim to Guntz
and buy 3 of the following: Fspice, ShaveIce and Frizbee.
Then go to Township and cook them, you should get 3x LuckCndy.
Cook the three LuckCndys and you will earn a Goldbar!
Empire sword
Sent in by Lewis
To get the Empire sword, you have to fish in the mountains east of you
own town. It is close to the village, but to get to the right place you
have to be able to fly with Mina.
Life Armor
Sent in by Lewis
To get the Life Armor, go fishing on the Gateisland. On the right
fishing spot you will find a chest containing the Life Armor, which
is even stronger than the Dragon Armor.
Lots of experience points
Sent in by Lewis
Take the party to the island east of The Grand Church. Walk around
until you walk into a battle. If you have Sten (in shape of the Djinni)
in the party, use "svea" untill you are facing a rare enemy: The Nrider.
If you succeed to defeat two of them you will get at least 40,000 exp.
(if all the party members are conscience) and 6,000 coins. If you are
really lucky you can also receive either the No twin rapier or the
Medusa shield.
Get the dragon powers of Firedrgn, Icedrgn, and Thunderdrgn
Sent in by Landon
Once you get Jean, go back up to the witch's tower. Have Jean
in the lead, then go west of the tower. You should come across
a pond with a waterfall at the bottom. With jean in the lead,
use his frog power to jump into the water. Now, go down the
waterfall. You will find a secret cave with a man and several
treasures. If you talk to the man, he will give you the dragon
powers of Firedrgn, Icedrgn, and Thunderdrgn!!!
Get 200 GP
Sent in by Nicholas Walker
This has to be done with a hunter, like Bow or Katt. When you
see the wind blowing on some grass, walk up to it and press A.
Now choose to any of your hunters. Start shooting an animal until
it's dead and take the Roast. Watch out for bears and Gongheads.
Go to a town and sell it. You'll receive 200 GP!
Charcoal
Sent in by Nicholas Walker
If you kill an animal with Bleu you'll receive Charcoal. Take two
charcoals to the cook in your created town. You'll receive an Herb.
Make money with the Gold Bar
Sent in by Brian
Get the carpenter that cooks things. Then get Hanz to come and start an
item shop. At his shop buy 4 Cond. Up's. Now go and cook all four of the
Cond. Up's. Most of the time you get a Gold Bar! This is a great way to
make money because 4 Cond. Up's, only cost 4000 and you can sell a Gold
Bar for 6000!!
Gobi
Sent in by Excerion@aol.com
At a certain spot on the map (I forget exactly where), if you fish, You'll
see Gobi from Breath of Fire 1 swimming along. Gobi's so greedy, if you fish
with gold as the bait, you'll catch him!!! When you catch him, he'll sell
you things like the Firerock.
Get items while hunting
Sent in by Frank
There are 3 different items you can get while hunting. If you kill a land
animal, you get a roast. Roasts completely refill your HP. If you kill a
bird, you get an egg. An egg has the same effect as a LifeP1. If you kill
the bears that sometimes appear, you get a SpareRib. Spare Ribs are just
like roasts. (Bears take 9-10 hits to kill, and if you run into it, you get into
a battle with it.) I'm not sure about what you get from a beak though, those
also appear sometimes.
Get lots of coins
Sent in by Scott Lowry
Go to Coursair and give all your money to the bank then go to the church
and try to give a offering. The preacher will give you 10 coins! Repeat
this 9 more times. You now have 100 coins! Put it in the bank and repeat
this as many times as you would like to.
Best ending
Sent in by Mike
To get the best ending, go into the well in your town and look at the machine.
Then go to Guntz and walk to the house at the top and walk behind the last
bookcase. Talk to Eichichi there and bring her to the machine. If you saved
your father, township can fly.
Bleu
After you get Grandpa the whale, got to the desert in the southeast
corner of the map. Get on the beach and look for an almost invisible
circle in the sand. If you find it you will find ghosts that say "Bleu
is not here right now" or something like that. After you've talked to
one, got to the Magic School in hometown. Go to the left classroom
on the 2nd floor, and talk to all of the girls on the row closest to the door.
One of them will reveal themselves as Bleu. She (forcefully) joins
the group. She starts at Level 35 and start with the following
spells: S.Boom, Flame, Death, Pwr-Down, Ag-Up, Atk-Up, Drain,
Warp, Bomb, Freeze, Ag-Down, Def-down, Def-Up, Sap, and Exit.
She gets Fireball at level 36, Hail at level 37, Missile at level 38,
and Bolt X at Level 39.
Her special ability is Shed. This allows her to totally regenerate her
HP an unlimited number of times, and it also will cure any ailments
(i.e. poison, curse, etc.). In addition, she's as fast as Katt!
Infinite coins
To get infinite coins, store all the coins in your possession in a bank.
Then, go to a church of St. Eva. Select "donation." Since you have
no money, the priest will give you ten gold coins. Store these in the
bank. Go back to the church and repeat these steps again. It requires
a lot of patience, but you can get as many coins as you want.
How do you get different endings?
There are three possible endings in Breath of Fire.
When you're at the Gate at the end of the game, your mother (the big
white dragon) will ask you if you want to go on and destroy the demon,
or just leave things alone. If you choose to just leave things alone,
you will get the worst ending. If you choose to go on and destroy the
demon, but don't rescue your father, you'll get an average ending.
If you choose to go on and destroy the demon and rescue your father to
make your town fly, you will get the best ending possible.
What are the locations of the Shamans?
There are six different Shamans you can find in the game:
Sana, the Fire Shaman, is found in the town of Capitan.
Seso, the Water Shaman, is found in the Witch's Tower.
Spoo, the Wind Shaman, is found in the SkyTower.
Solo, the Earth Shaman, is at FarmTown.
Seny, the Holy Shaman, will be found at Bando.
Shin, the Devil Shaman, is found in Infinity.
How do you join with the Shamans?
First, you must locate the different Shamans throughout the game. Once
you've found them, go to Granny's House at TownShip. They'll show you
how to join your characters with the different Shamans here. Depending
upon who you combine with, your character's abilities and appearance
can change. You can only have one character in your party combined
with a Shaman at a time. You can combine up to two different Shamans
with a character at once. Experimentation is the key to finding the
coolest combinations!
What are the bushes and fish on the overworld screen for?
If you enter the bushes on the overworld, you can hunt by putting Bow
or Katt in front of your party and pressing the Y Button. If you
defeat a land animal, you will earn a Roast, and if you defeat a bird,
you will earn an Egg. Both items will completely refill a character's
hit points.
The areas on the overworld with fish are places you can go fishing for
items. To fish, equip a fishing pole and some bait on your hero, then
face the fish and press the Y Button. Try using different bait, or
even gold, to see what you can catch.
I'm at Bleu's hideout -- where's Bleu?
Once you have made it to Bleu's Desert Hideout, journey back to the
village of HomeTown. You will find Bleu on the second floor of the
Magic School in the middle of the town.
Enemy activity
What is that silly little purple guy at the top of the subscreen for?
The little, purple, onion-like guy at the top of the subscreen shows
you what the enemy activity is in the area. If the little creature is
sleeping, you won't run into any enemies. If it is dancing around, it
means you will run into random encounters. The faster he dances, the
larger the quantity and strength of the enemies in the area.
Gain money quickly
To gain money quickly right after the prologue and while Bow is still in your
party, go hunting. A Roast sells for 200 Z, which is about 30 times what you
can expect to win in a typical battle. You can also get 350 Z right off the
bat by searching your room for 100C and taking the LifePl at the ranger's
guild.
Catch Maniro and get lots of equipment
When you find the Gold in TagWoods, there's a nice fishspot northeast of
Coursair where you can catch Maniro and get lots of equipment. But
be sure to bring a lot of money! (about 4000 Z is as much as you'll probably
need - see above paragraph for how to obtain this much money quickly).
Treasure chest in Katt's room
In the Coliseum, the treasure chest in Katt's room CAN be reached (Open the
door to Katt's locker room before entering your own locker room, don't try to
take the treasure, then come back for it later.), but since this treasure chest
is a fake, don't bother.
Keep your money away from Rand
While you're in the coliseum, if you want to be able to keep that 1000 Z
payment without giving it to Rand, remember that Rand only enters the room
when you try to open the door to the arena. So, try to open the door first
and then open the chest. You may also want to put your party money supply in
the bank if you don't want Rand to take that either
WildCat restaurant
At the WildCat restaurant to can either learn Chopchop or get your mHP
raised. Before entering this place, all inventories and equipment lists
are saved, and restored upon exit or death. In WildCat, you must pass through
a series of checkpoints. At each checkpoint, you may choose to
either obeys the rules posted there, or disobey and fight your way past a
Bouncer. At the end of the trip, you'll meet Mr.Wildcat himself. Just
before this you will be asked how you want your food prepared:
Rare - all party members take [rHP/4] pts of damage
Medium - [rHP/2] points of damage to all
Well Done - [3/4*rHP] points of damage to all
if you do not choose, all party members are reduced to 1 HP (!)
the following things affect Wildcat's mood:
he begins with a mood of 120
for each rule: disobeyed -8
obeyed0
After battling Wildcat, he asks you the following questions:
answer / effect
---------------------------------------------
1: 'Are you mad...?' Yes -8 goto 2 No +4 goto 3
2: 'Will you forgive me'Yes 0 goto 5 No -4 goto 4
3: 'You are soft-hearted aren't you?' Yes +4 end No -4 goto 4
4: 'Please forgive me, will you?'Yes 0 goto 5 No -2 goto 6
5: 'You won't take that back...?'Yes +4 end No -2 goto 6
6: 'Do you forgive me?'Yes +4 end No -2 goto 6
At the end of it all, you will receive an award depending of Wildcat's mood:
mood = 112 (yellow or better)
he will teach one party member Chopchop
mood =112 (orangish-yellow or worse)
he raises the mHP of all party members by 16 points
Hidden money
In the top room of the bucket rides at SimaFort, there's a lot of hidden
cash: 3000 Z, in fact. From the spot where the filled buckets rise through,
search (0,-3), (-1,-3), and (-2,-3) from this spot (these spots are along the
embankment).
Carnival tip
At the carnival when you are asked to either supply 900k Z, or an Uparupa,
you CAN pay the 900kZ, if you have it, but to collect this much money is a
colossal waste of effort. You will end up fighting the ringleader anyway,
and you will be out 900,000 coins.
Gain experience and gold quickly after you have the whale
To gain experience and gold quickly after you have the whale,
visit the island of giants (northwest of Windia). There are three enemies
you are likely to encounter: Gonghead (2), A.Sludge, and Chorking. Chorking
is easy is you use items which cast damage-dealing spells, since full
immunity does not apply in this case. These items can be bought in Guntz.
Or, if you have the Chopchop attack, use that instead. The other two can be
defeated after a lot of hacking and slashing. Heavy magic-users might want
to Hush or cast damage dealing spells on A.Sludge to speed up the process.
A.Sludges are nice in that they can be Drained for lots of AP when your magic
users are running low.
Fighting K.Sludges
In the unlikely event that you encounter K.Sludges, you're probably toast,
unless you have the G.Drgn spell. They have armor and mHP like a tank, are
faster than a speeding bullet, and like to cast Death (and when they cast
Death, it always works). In such a battle, running is probably not going to
be effective. Your best bet is to pile all the spell damage you can into
them - if you win you'll obtain an astronomical reward. With all that
money you'll be winning, you'll be able to buy things at the armory in
Guntz immediately. This stuff is the best that can be found until about
the FarmTown scenario. And after you reach FarmTown, you'll be able to
buy some MedusaSHs with all that money you saved up!
MedusaSH
The MedusaSH is probably the most useful shield there is: it casts Atk-Up
(very nice), and is the strongest in terms of power. The MedusaSH can be
bought from Maniro on an island Fishspot. Getting to this island does not
require the ability to fly - as soon as you can get to Farmtown, you can
reach it - just bring along Jean and hop across the islands. If you're
having trouble triggering this Fishspot, remember that you need to enter a
battle from the same map section where the Fishspot is - refer to the map for
details. And, of course, you'll need to bring along a LOT of coins. A
MedusaSH costs 50k, and you'll probably want as many of them as there are
party members who can equip them.
Boombada
Boombada can be very difficult to obtain. You will be asked to play
accompaniment to a bell melody with a drum (button A), and a tuning
fork (button B). The melody is 8 beats to a measure, 4 measures long:
- - --_ _ _____ _-_-_-
................................
The accompaniment you must play to this is:
-A-B-- A_B_A__ B___B_-AB_-_-A A
................................
If you manage to hit all the notes somewhere close to where they should be,
and don't play any extraneous notes, then you got it.
EmpireSD
The EmpireSD is by far the strongest weapon. You can reach it as soon as
you can fly, but you'll need the CharmRod to have any luck fishing it out.
Don't forget to get it, because when you no longer have the ability to
fly the great bird, this Fishspot is off limits - TownShip can't get there
(by the way, this is the only location that the great bird can get to which
TownShip can't).
WindiaFt treasure room
There is a treasure room in WindiaFt that can be difficult to get to. After
you have the great bird, return and the door will be unlocked.
Death spell
Death is a wonderful spell. For creatures of magic susceptibility of 3 or 4,
it's a guaranteed kill. For 0 or higher, it still has a pretty good chance
of success. The WorthRG casts Death, and you may buy as many of these as you
like from Maniro, as soon as you can fly. Since anyone can use items which
cast spells, I suggest buying 2 or 3 of them and having them readily available
for use when fighting magic susceptible creatures. Just remember that
Death does not work at all in battles to the death, or against spirit and
undead creatures.
Fighting Ganet
If you find the Ganet creature annoying, there's a simple way to defeat it.
Even though it has full immunity, this ability is not effective against
damage from items that cast spells, such as F.Spice, EmpireSD, StormRG,
Shaker, etc... And, any spell damage is more than enough to kill a Ganet.
LifeBR
You can only get it after defeating Barubary, but even so it is worth
the effort. Barubary will challenge the hero to fight alone. If you
accept and win, you will get a hint as to where it is, but not how to
reach it. You'll need to bring along Katt and Sten for their special
skills - it is in the same room in which you defeat Barubary. The
LifeBR is the only item which prevents Death. As an added bonus,
it also gives the wearer regeneration. Defeating Barubary alone is
not necessary to find this treasure, as Barubary only gives a hint
as to its location.
