Super Tennis

Graphics 5 out of 10
Graphics aren't THAT good, but it gets the job done.
Graphics high points: when you put the game in and the screen shows
you the point-of-view as if you were the tennis ball.
Graphics low points: there really isn't any really terrible graphics,
but then again, there really isn't any really good graphics either.
Anyway, the graphics get the job done, and isn't that what matters?
Music and Sound 2 out of 10
The only sound you hear is the smacking of your tennis ball
when you hit it, the title screen background music, and when
you switch sides of the net. Ech! As far as I'm concerned,
Super Tennis fails music and sound miserably. Ugh!
Game Challenge 8 out of 10
Pretty hard to return the ball at first, but you'll get used to it.
Even after you've had it a while, it's still pretty hard.
Game Play-Fun 3 out of 10
This is one of those "buy it cheap" and "stick it in the back of
your closet" kind of games. Not one that you take out just about
every time you play your Super NES.
Frustration
The game's major frustration points:
1. When your opponent smacks the ball to the opposite side of
your court that you're in and you don't return it.
2. When the computer beats you like crazy.
3. And some other points as well, but they aren't that significant
so I'll leave it up to you to find out.
Replayability 2 out of 10
Like I said in the "Game Play-Fun" section, this is a "buy it cheap"
and "stick it in the back of your closet" kind of games. Unless
you're a die-hard tennis and Super NES fan, this probably won't
be that fun. Unless, of course, you play with friend. That makes
it somewhat fun.
Game Value 10 out of 10
I picked Super Tennis up at my local Toys 'R' Us for 97 cents
NEW and WITH A BOX, MANUAL, and EVERYTHING WORKED (unlike
most of Funcoland's games). It's not really worth more than $3.
Overall 4 out of 10
So, in conclusion, Super Tennis isn't that much fun if you're playing
against the computer, but can be a little fun if you're playing with a
friend. If you see it at Toys 'R' Us or some other place like that and
it's cheaply priced, go ahead and grab a copy. However, you won't
get much more than you're money's worth out of it.
