Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
Reviewed by Koa
Super Mario RPG is probably the greatest Super NES game that came out.
It was 3D, fun to play, and very interesting. It has qualities that you can't
find in most Super NES games. This showed that you can make great games
on a 16-bit system. Super Mario RPG was a turning point in the Nintendo
Industry. It was a top seller and probably the best RPG or Super NES game
ever created!
Ok, ok, enough blabbering and get to the beginning of the game. Well, it
starts off Bowser kidnaps Princess Toadstool, again, and Mario goes to
save her, again. He reaches the castle, gets to Bowser, and beats him
down. Mario is just about to get Princess Toadstool down when BOOOOOOM!!!
A huge sword crashes down into Bowser's Keep and Bowser, Mario, and
Princess Toadstool fly in three different directions. That's only the beginning!
Graphics 10 out of 10
The graphics are awesome! This is a Super NES game we're talking about,
and its completely 3D. Compared to all the Super NES games, its graphics
are the best. Duh, anyone could of told you that. Just look at the stages
and the little details. I think the makers did excellent on the graphics!
Music and Sound 8 out of 10
The music and the sound wasn't all that great. They played the same
music whenever you fought. They changed the levels music and that's
good. They also used different music whenever you fought a boss or
the master, Smithy. The sounds were great, though.
Game Challenge 9 out of 10
The game had some parts where you had to really think or use skill.
Like at Marrymore, you didn't know you had to go through a back door.
You just kind of had to figure it out. There wasn't that much challenge
when ever you fought someone unless you didn't have the right level-ups,
or the boss was a very hard one. There was challenges though, but the
makers could have put a little more and make them a little harder.
Game Play-Fun 10 out of 10
Super Mario RPG is a very fun game! They have all sorts of little games
inside of the game itself. There is a ton of secrets which makes all the
much funnier! Its a long game with exciting stuff always happening so
you'll never ever get bored(except when the people talk really long)!
Frustration
Yes, there are quite a bit of frustrating parts in the game. Like if you
kept on dieing on a boss. Or if you kept on falling off of the bean stalks
when trying to climb to Nimbus Land. There are frustrating parts, but
if you get to frustrated you do have the power to turn it off for a while!
Replayability 10 out of 10
This game is so fun that after you beat it you just want to level-up a lot
and find all the secret stuff so you could beat Smithy with ease!
Game Value $40 out of $70
The game isn't all that old so buying it for a little over half the price
isn't expensive. A rip off is $50 or more. A cheap price is $30 or less.
You could probably get the game at a garage sale or on sale at a store
for $10 or $15.
Length of game 10 out of 10
Super Mario RPG has a perfect length of time in the game. When you beat
the game, your relieved and happy that you went through the whole game.
Overall 10 out of 10
The game is great! Its my favorite game for Super NES. I'm sure other
people think its the best game too!
