Street Fighter Alpha 2

Boy Capcom has really outdone themselves this time! I mean everything
you can imagine about this game was perfect like the Super Combos,
Custom Combos, Alpha Counters, Music, Superior Graphics, Incredible
music, high quality sound, special moves, taunts, etc. This is the game
you want for the Super NES. The control is very fluid and easy to control
without hassle. This is just one amazing game, yet so good that I think
the Super NES might explode!! The only flaw about this game is that the
speed on Versus mode is always on normal regardless if you change it or
not on certain stages with moving backgrounds, only on arcade mode can
there be Turbo 2 speed. I bought this used at FCL for $30 and a little metal
thing was missing near the connectors so I don't know if that has to do with
the speed or not. Well lets go to the review.
Graphics 10 out of 10
Incredible. The backgrounds are exactly like they were in the arcades. The
backgrounds even move so fluently you'll think you were playing it on a PSX.
Just amazing.
Music and Sound 10 out of 10
Just incredible. Even the voices are extremely clear. When Ken does his
winning pose where he says "Ya shounta (I'm guessing)" it sounds exactly
like it does in X-Men vs Street Fighter. Just a pleasant game to be around
with the music and all.
Game Challenge
You set the difficulty level to level 8 all the way down to level 1. The only
thing is, is that Zangief's Final Atomic Buster is extremely hard to do. If you
do connect with Zangief's Final Atomic Buster on level 3 you'll be rewarded
with the coolest looking super in the game. Zangief first does a Siberian
Suplex, then another regular suplex followed by a Spinning Pile Driver
and finishing up with a Super Spinning Pile Driver! Its the best looking super
in the game, it looks better than it does in Marvel vs Capcom!
Game Play-Fun 10 out of 10
I've haven't gotten tired of it yet. It's still loads of fun because of the many
supers in the game. Akuma and Gen both have 4 different supers!! Everybody
has a minimum of 2 supers but most have 3. Did I mention you have the
ability to combo your supers? Well that's one of the fun features, the
Custom Combo adds a new twist to things, this type of super lets you
create your own super! Your roundhouses and fierces and be chained rapidly
along with special moves, but no super combos allowed during the duration
of this Custom Combo. The only bad part about this thing is that even on
level 3 your given only 5-7 seconds to bust out whatever move you can come
up with. The funniest thing to do in this game is comboing the unblockable
Raging Demon! The other feature about the Supers is that you can hit all 3
punches at the same time to get more damage out of it but it'll cost you more
super meters depending how many buttons you pushed. Most of the time if
you hit all 3 punches or kicks you get different effects of the super like
Ken's Shoryu Reppa where he does 2 vacuum wave dragon punches on level 1
and 2, but on level 3 he does 3 vacuum wave dragon punches. The game-play
is just too much to say in words.
Frustration
Not frustrating really. Its still fun even if you do lose because you can learn
the combos the computer does or you brother does and inflict that same
combo right back!
Replayability 10 out of 10
You can play this all day and not want to shut it down. Just trust me.
Game Value 10 out of 10
This game is priceless. This game has just as much value to me as to Final
Fantasy 2, Final Fantasy 3, Super Metroid, Chrono Trigger, Lufia 2, Lufia,
TMNT 4, Breath of Fire, and the infamous Super Street Fighter 2. This game
is rare so don't expect for just any store to have it.
Overall 10 out of 10
This game is just amazing. What's really fun about it is that when you do
supers like Charlie's Crossfire Blitz you mimic the motions right in front
of your friend or brother's face so you can rub it in to prove that your really
kicking some butt. This game is one of the many best games to come out for
the Super NES. This is the best fighting game for the Super NES and second
would be Super Street Fighter 2. I mean 18 fighters, secret codes and supers
and different styles of fighting, come on! Mortal Kombat has no right to put
their games on this system. I've played all the Mortal Kombat games and they
can't even compete with Street Fighter 2!! Mortal Kombat should owe it all to
the original Street Fighter. Besides that was the game that started the
evolution of fighting games.
