Graphics: Graphics are really nice. Characters are quite detailed and
the scenery in the game is really nice. Faces are just a tiny bit blurry,
but it's usually pretty good.
Sound: Sound is also pretty good. The music in this game is pretty good
(at least it's original) and it's not something you'll get sick of. Sound
effects were also done very well.
Gameplay: In my opinion, one of the best games for the SNES (The only
others I have in higher regards are Illusion of Gaia, Super Mario RPG,
Chrono Trigger, and a few more). However, not a lot of people like this
game because Square of America made it, not Square of Japan. I like it
better than most of Square's games, at least all of their newer stuff.
Anyway, it's a lot like Secret of Mana; it's in a sort of side view and
you have a meter at the bottom of the screen that decreases whenever
you hit or run. Kill enough enemies, and get your weapon level and level
up. When you get your weapon level up, you can charge up your weapon
and hit with it differently for new damage. Also, this game is a nice
multiplayer RPG since the second player may play as the Dog in your
party. You also have to love the cheesy humor in this game.
Hardness factor: Not too hard, but it really matters on how much you
level up. All the times I've played it, I've never had much trouble on
the game, except for an annoying boss or two and crossing a particularly
large place.
Overall: 7.5 out of 10. Graphics are really good, Sound is also good,
and the Gameplay in this game is just great. A must get.
