Secret of Evermore

Graphics: A
Compared to some games on the SNES, Secret of Evermore, has great
graphics, not as good as say Chrono Trigger, but close. I personally
think that some of the magic effects could have been a little better,
but most of them were great.
Music and Sound: A
I loved the music in Secret of Evermore. The music really sets the
mood of the environment that you are in. For example, in the forest
with the raptors; the sounds really suggest that you are in a dark forest.
Game Challenge: A
All games have their easy points, including this one. In the same respect,
all games have their difficult points; whether it's a boss that is really
hard, or just some puzzle that is difficult to be solved. I think that some
of the bosses in this game will be challenging to the player, as the battle
takes place in real time, and can move freely.
Game Play-Fun: A
The game play is another excellent aspect of Secret of Evermore. The dog
character adds an element of personality to the game as does the main
character's allusions to various movies that he has seen.
Frustration
This goes along with the difficulty aspect of the game. Some bosses are
just that, frustrating. You will find yourself fighting a boss over and over
again, trying new tactics each time.
Replayability: B
I gave this a 'B' only for the aspect that it like all RPGs have a difficult
replayability; because one its played, you know everything. However,
since there are many different alchemy formulae to collect, this is
plus for replayability.
