Mega Man X
Reviewed by Davey Vorhes
Mega Man X, is one of my favorite Super Nintendo Games. I love to play
it because it is very fun. This is a cool, Mega Man game, and one of the
best Mega Man games I have seen.
Graphics 10 out of 10
I gave the game 10 out of 10 in graphics because, this game is a Super
Nintendo game. The graphics definitely meet the standards of good
graphics in SNES games. Although, compared to the latest Nintendo 64
graphics, these graphics are bad, but that's Nintendo 64, not SNES.
Music and Sound 9 out of 10
There are many different sounds in Mega Man X. I believe that most of
these sounds are not annoying, at least I haven't been the least bit
annoyed while I played the game. There are about four laser sounds and
a jumping sound, many sounds from all of the bad guys, including the
bosses, and a good warp sound after each level. I particularly like the
music. While you are choosing which level to enter, an appropriate
background music plays. There are many musical pieces in the game.
On every level there is a piece that sounds like it fits in the level. I
like all of the sounds and music pieces in the game.
Game Challenge 9 out of 10
The game is for the most part, hard. Although I gave the game a nine
out of ten in game challenge. I did this because The bosses can be very
tricky, but some of the levels can be easy. For instance, the bats in some
caves take one hit to destroy. However, some bosses are very hard, and
take several tries to overcome.
Game Play-Fun 10 out of 10
This a game is very fun. Think about it. You're all pumped up with all
the latest technology. You're running through several worlds, fighting
bad guys, destroying big bosses, beating the level, getting new weapons.
Sounds fun, it is! I always enjoy playing this game.
Frustration
Although I have said so much good stuff about this game, the game can
get frustrating. For instance, you have just beaten a large, hard portion
of the last level. You then die. You have to start at the beginning of the
level and go through all of the hard stuff again. I really don't like that
part of the game. One time I got so frustrated while playing, my mom
took away the game and hid it. I think the frustrating can be dealt with
if you realize when you're frustrated and stop.
Replayability 10 out of 10
Truethfully, I have never beaten the game, and therefor I haven't been
able to replay the game. But, I believe Mega Man X is one of those games
that you can replay or not want to replay. For instance, you might have
gotten tired of the game once you have beaten it and wouldn't want to
play it again. It can go either way. I suggest stopping playing the game
after you have beaten it and once you feel like it, play the game again.
That's what I would do, but other people might be so obsessed with the
game that they would have to play the game again after beating it.
Game Value 10 out of 10
This game is defiantly worth the price. I believe my game was bought
for $20. Since you may have purchased, or when you are going to purchase
the game the price may have gone down. But I am comparing the game from
$20. Anything lower is defiantly worth the price. For that much, I have
definitely played the price. What I'm saying is, I think the game is worth
the price. All that fun playing has got to be worth something, $20 seems
quite good. The game was probably originally priced much more than $20.
Even then the game was worth the price.
Overall 9.5 out of 10
Overall, I rate this game a 9.5 out of 10. I mostly marked the game down
because of the frustration. I know I enjoy playing the game, and many other
people enjoy playing it too. Mage Man X is a fun, and challenging game well
worth the buy.
