Gradius 3

Gameplay: 6.5 out of 10
Hardness factor: 7.5 out of 10
Overall: 5.5 out of 10
Graphics: The graphics of this game look a lot like Gradius 1 and 2 for
the NES, just updated slightly. They are poor and undefiled.
Sound: Music is also quite poor. I gave it an extra point, however, because
the songs are pretty cool. SFX are also pretty basic.
Gameplay: A classic sidescrolling space shooter. It's not a bad game,
despite the graphical and sound problems, and is fun. You shoot your
way around until you get to a boss and along the way pick up Weapon
boosters. Whenever you get a Weapon booster, one out of ten or so buttons
highlight at the bottom of the screen. The more Weapon boosters you get
the higher the buttons go. When you press a button you get that weapon.
It's pretty interesting.
Hardness factor: It can get hard, since once you're hit, you have to
start from the beginning. Bosses are also hard, but once you get the
hang of this game you should only have a little trouble.
Overall: 5.5 out of 10. Graphics and Sound that almost look like they
came from the NES, but gameplay that is pretty neat. The game gets
old fast and there's almost no replay value. Still, it's one of the best
space shooters out there.
