Final Fantasy 3
Reviewed by Locke
Final Fantasy 3 is perhaps the best RPG on the Super NES. It has good
graphics, great story, good challenge, extremely fun, very original, and
you'll find yourself humming the tunes of Final Fantasy 3 without even
knowing it! Who would ask for more for an RPG? Too bad RPGs weren't
very popular at the Super NES days, because Final Fantasy 3 is extremely
rare to buy at the normal store. I was lucky to be able to grasp my hands
on a copy of Final Fantasy 3.
Graphics 8.3 out of 10
The characters are colorful and very detailed. The expressions of the
characters are fairly limited, but that isn't much. The backgrounds are
very good for a Super NES RPG. The enemies look prettier than the
characters in the battles, although they sit still. The spell effects are
very impressive for it's days. Overall, the graphics are pretty good.
Music and Sound 9.4 out of 10
The music is probably better than ANY RPG on the Super NES. It's that
good. I especially like the battle themes. But the ending music. It is
PERFECT. Plus, it's over 20 minutes long! You may come across a few
okay songs, but overall it is just so good. The sounds effects are pretty
good, too.
Game Challenge 8.6 out of 10
Even though this isn't the most challenging RPG around, it will still
satisfy most RPG fans. Once your about half way through the game,
the challenge will probably start to be a bit uneven, since you can
choose where you want to go at that time. You might go to one area
with very difficult enemies, then the next level would be very easy.
Game Play-Fun 9.9 out of 10
This is no regular RPG. The story is amazingly great and the characters
are wonderfully developed. And the battles are downright fun, especially
against the bosses! There are other things to do also, like go to the
auction or opera house. This game also has some humor. If you can't buy
this game, rent it every week! This is a game no RPG fan will not want
to miss. Squaresoft does no wrong in this game.
Replayability 9.9 out of 10
The replay value is excellent due to the huge size of the game (about 40
hours long), great story, and the immense amount of secrets. You will
want to play this game again and again.
Game Value 10 out of 10
This is the perfect RPG and it's worth it to buy it for $100.00!! You got to
get this game if you have the chance. The story has so much depth you'll be
a prisoner to your own couch(I think there should be a book of Final Fantasy 3!).
Story 10 out of 10
As I told you before, the story is amazing and has so much depth. The
characters are just wonderfully developed. I don't want to ruin the whole
story for you, so I'll just say a few things. The main character of this game
is Terra, a confused woman. Some of the evil villains include Gestahl and
Kefka who are trying to rule the world.
Originality 9.7 out of 10
This game is probably the most original RPG on the Super NES. The story
hasn't been copied at all. Has there been opera houses and Auctions in other
RPGs? I don't think so. The music is like no other music before it.
Overall 9.9 out of 10
I say this is the greatest RPG of all time. Why? Everything! Whether your an
RPG fan or not, you've got to try this game out. I bet you'd get addicted after
just a few minutes of playing. A lot of people just don't know the true meaning
of an RPG. It's definitely not graphics (I think that's the least important part
of an RPG). It 's not sound. It's story and game design. Not only does Final
Fantasy 3 have excellent story and game design, but everything else about
the game is too. RPGs are my favorite genre. Final Fantasy 3 is my favorite
RPG. That would make it my favorite game of all time.
