Battletoads and Double Dragon: The Ultimate Team

Graphics: 3.5 out of 10
Gameplay: 3 out of 10
Sounds: 3 out of 10
Hardness factor: 5 out of 10
Overall factor: 3 out of 10
Graphics: Characters look all the same and there is a lack of variation
for enemies and bosses. The graphics are bad for this game; I enjoy
the NES version better because the graphics are about the same (pretty
good for the NES) but the controls are better.
Sound: Music is boring and repetitive, the sound effects can be poor,
but usually aren't too bad.
Gameplay: A standard beat 'em up (like Final Fight) with a few bosses
and every once in a while a weapon, though not nearly enough. It's one
of the worst beat 'em ups I've played, which is too bad since I'm such
a fan of both Battletoads and Double Dragon. Better controls would help,
but wouldn't fix the problems in this game. It is incredibly boring and
there is almost no variety, except for the bosses; all of which are
from the past games. The game is much too short also, expect to beat
it in an hour.
Hardness factor: Pretty normal for a game, but easy for a beat 'em up.
Not even the bosses are hard. The only part I had even a little trouble
on was that after you beat the boss on the second level, you have to
play an 'asteroids' mini-game, which is just horrible.
Overall: 3 out of 10. Graphics that fit the NES, Sound that is boring,
and incredibly boring gameplay. I recommend you go play the Final
Fight games if you want a good beat `em up for the SNES.
