Graphics: 6 out of 10
Gameplay: 7.5 out of 10
Sounds: 2.5 out of 10
Hardness factor: 7 out of 10
Overall factor: 7 out of 10
Graphics: The graphics are pretty basic for this game, but since it
was made towards the end of the SNES, they aren't really blocky.
Sound: Sound is absent. There are only one or two songs, they all sound
the same and the graphics are mainly just beeps.
Gameplay: A 'puzzle' game where you control a paddle and hit a ball
(or two) up to some blocks in order to clear them all. There are some
enemies which mainly just get in your way. There's also one boss,
Arkanoid, who gets progressively harder and is pretty hard the final
time you beat him. There are also power ups you can get from blocks
that do different things, like make your paddle shorter/longer and give
you the ability to shoot a beam from your paddle.
Hardness factor: Pretty hard in the later levels and especially at the
last Arkanoid. It's a simple game, but sometimes you might guess
wrong the angle from which the ball deflects.
Overall: 7 out of 10. The game is basic, but it's pretty fun as a time
waster. The gameplay is classic and there are hundreds of clones out
there. Even though I gave it a 7 out of 10, I wouldn't recommend this
game since there are so many good clones online.
