Graphics: The graphics are bad for this game, but that is understandable
since this game was made in the early days of the SNES. As graphics go
for that time period, it was pretty normal. The game has a mix of bright
and dark graphics, but it works pretty well.
Sound: Sound is also pretty bad, but normal for the company that made it
and the time period this game was made in. There are at least two songs
in the game I really like though.
Gameplay: A sidescroller. What really makes this game fun is the controls.
You are a bat, so you can glide and hover a little, which is kind of neat.
You can also hit/throw stars at people in order to harm them. The bosses
in this game are very interesting (especially the last level) and the
controls are pretty smooth. I would have given gameplay another point,
however this game's graphics and sound won't appeal to the gamers of today.
Hardness factor: Can get hard if you are new at games, especially towards
the middle of the game. Besides that, the last boss is hard, but the rest
of the game is a breeze.
Overall: 7 out of 10. Great gameplay, but unappealing graphics and sound
to today's generation. This game is really a gem and the sequel is even
better. I would recommend this game easily.
