Graphics: The graphics for this game are pretty good. They are basically
updates of Actraiser one, and they look pretty nice for SNES graphics.
Sound: Sound is great. There are some songs from the original Actraiser
in this game, as well as additional ones that set an appropriate mood.
The SFX are also pretty much like the original, they are also pretty
nice for the SNES.
Gameplay: A side-scroller where you must make your way through a
level. The gameplay is what made me give this game a bad rating.
Controls are annoying and enemies can get hard in the later levels.
They should have kept the Angel thing from the first one. Your moves
are pretty limited and there's not enough places to regain your life. If
you ever find this game and play it, you'll know exactly what I mean.
Hardness factor: Pretty hard because of what's stated above. If they
fixed the controls, places to get life, and made some of the monsters
a bit easier, the game wouldn't be that hard.
Overall: 4.5 out of 10. Incredible graphics and sound for the SNES, but
the gameplay is what really hinders this game. It's not as interesting
as the first one and can be a disappointment to fans of the original
game. Unless you're desperate for an SNES game you haven't played,
I wouldn't recommend this game.
