Star Fox 64

Finally, after almost one and a half years of development, Star Fox 64 is
released Does it live up to all of the hype and is it as good as the first
one? All of these questions will be answered in this reader review.
First off, lets start with the GRAPHICS. I think that this game has the
best graphics of any game released for the N64 and that is saying a whole
lot. Large, beautiful enemies fill up the screen. There is low pixelation
is any. The graphics get a 9.5 out of 10.
Next, lets go to the CONTROL. I think that this game has the best control
of any game out too, maybe with Mario 64 the only exception. The main
reason for this is the Rumble Pack. It lets you feel every hit, crash,
turbo boost, ect. It makes good use of the analog stick. My only
complaint is that the Rumble Pack is a little week and sometimes the
buttons feel awkward. The control gets a 9.5 out of 10.
Lets go to FUN FACTOR. I think that the fun factor is one of the greatest
factors that you have a good game. Star Fox 64 is fun to play, but the
multiplayer mode isn't what I expected. There needs to be more levels also,
because they get a little boring after a while. Overall, Star Fox 64 is a
fun game, so the fun factor gets a 8.5 out of 10.
Last, comes the SOUND. This has to be one of the worst features of the game.
It gets a little boring and repetitive at times, but the voices make up for
a lot of it. It could have been better, but still is good. The music gets
a 8.5 out of 10.
Star Fox 64's OVERALL rating is 9 out of 10. Is it the best game for
the N64 yet? Not close to Mario Kart 64 or even Mario 64. It probably does
has the best graphics of them all though. Is it as good as the first one.
I haven't played Star Fox for the Super NES much, but think the 64 bit
version is better by far. I still wished that Star Fox 2 would have came
out. The bottom line is that Star Fox 64 is a good game, but does have
its flaws. Go buy it!!!
