Star Fox 64
Reviewed by Colin Healy
Star Fox 64 is probably one of the best games on the N64. It is also
one of Nintendo's Player's Choice Awards. The cheaper price makes
this game a must have for any games. If you didn't like the SNES
version, don't think you won't like this one. the 64 game is MUCH better
than the old version. n the newer version, unlike the old, the characters
actually have real voices instead of gibberish.
Graphics 8 out of 10
This game has supurb graphics, especially in the fire level. The fire
looks so real, and the color is perfect. The settings over all are great,
except for a few of the levels in space. The only time the graphics are
not good is when you are underwater. Everything is fuzzy and the fish
look really fake. It's also very hard to see, the water is very murky.
While the game may have been designed like that on purpose, it could
have been done a better way.
Music and Sound 8 out of 10
The music is nothing great. Just standard sound with the exception of
a few places like the ending. The reason I gave this category an 8 out
of 10 is because the sound is very well done. Your character, along
with all the other heros and villains actually talk. Some of the lines
are very catchy. (FOX!!! GET THIS GUY OFF ME!!!!!)) The sound brings this
game to another level of realism. After awhile, though the voices may
get a little repetitive. Every time you play the game the characters say
the same things for the most part.
Game Challenge 6 out of 10
This is the game's bad part. It's very EASY!! Even though you can take
different routes, some harder then others, through the game, Star Fox
64 is very easy. The game doesn't have a save feature. I beat the game
on the easiest path in about 45 minutes.
Game Play-Fun 8 out of 10
Star Fox 64 is great for you if you love shooting and blasting things
constantly. The game is certainly exciting and fun. Every level is fun
in its own way, with the exception (maybe) of the water level. each
level is so different from the others that it keeps the game interesting.
Rumble Pak 7 out of 10
While I personally don't like the rumble pack, this game is great for it.
The shaking and bouncing really makes you think you're Fox Mccloud
flying an Arwing. The rumble pack doesn't bother or hinder you in any way.
Frustration
No frustration. The game is simply way to simple for that. That's really
there is to say about the frustration.
Replayability 9 out of 10
There are many paths to take in this game, so really you can try out
different paths for along time. Once you discover how to activate the
different paths, the game is easy. If you don't want to bother with that,
you can play the game over and over again just for fun.
Game Value 8 out of 10
Yes, especially with Nintendo's new Player Choice Prices.
Overall 8 out of 10
BUY IT!!!!
