NBA Hangtime

What can I say. This game is very difficult, with no difficulty levels,
it can get very frustrating.
It is in no way a sim game. 4 guys on the court, which do to the create
a player feature usually consists of an alien or a mad clown. The multi
player option is there and is probably where most of the fun factor is.
The controls are awkward but you can change them to your likings. The
one bad thing about controls is the shove control. It is very difficult
to use since your player stops in his tracks to do it. Minor detail.
Since the AI is very tough, the most experienced players will find
themselves heading to overtime, and quite often back to the locker rooms
with a sad face. Oh well, that gives a little more insentive to the
game.
The graphics are the games strong points. Everything looks awesome.
Especially the crowd who gets up and generally FREAKS OUT every time
someone goes for a score. Everything is pretty realistic.
The sound is awesome. The announcer never shuts up which is really cool.
In fact you can add to his vocabulary by giving your player a nickname
(mine is currently "dingbat"). The worst part of sound (in my opinion)
is the big rap song they play at halftime...oh man, that's reason enough
for me not to care about mid game stats.... However, the song itself
sounds great and almost CD quality. (it's kinda scratchy in the
background).
Other than that, the game is really good and includes 29 guys, five guys
per team, plus a cool multi-player mode that will keep the dust off this
one for a while!
