Graphics: Great graphics, some of the best for the N64. They fit the mood
well and make everything look good. Nothing looks realistic at all, but this
game doesn't really need it. There is some attention to detail though not
tons and nothing really looks overdone. Even rain/snow looks good.
Sound: Sound is okay. Sometimes it can be bad, though only every once in
a while. Usually you should enjoy it. Fits the mood pretty good in that
it's upbeat in the summer and spring and kind of slow and steady in the
winter and fall.
Gameplay: An Isometric farm sim. This game has been made for the
Playstation, Playstation 2, N64, Gameboy, Gameboy Color, and the SNES.
It's quite a fun game, and every series adds something new and exciting.
Besides farming, there are often mini-games and things you can do, such
as wooing a lady and getting married. You can raise animals, build up your
house, become friends with the townsfolk, farm, and many other things.
At the end of 3 years you get evaluated and new things can open up for
you. This game is a must get for those with a N64.
Hardness factor: Not too hard since all it's a farm sim. You can get sick
and miss a day or two of work if you stay out in rainy or snowy weather
for too long or overwork yourself. The only other 'hard' part about this
game is that sometimes a tornado will kill some of your crop, though it
usually isn't too bad. It does get really hard if you try to collect every
recipe in the game and get every bonus item, but if you don't the game
is a breeze.
Overall: 9 out of 10. Graphics are great, sound is okay, and gameplay is
one of the best for the N64. One of the best and most recognized series
out there and it is one of the best games for the N64. You'll find yourself
playing it again and again on rainy days or when you're just bored.
