Merry Christmas everyone!! I wrote this Christmas day and I'm wishing
everyone a merry Christmas. First of all, I bought the system with my
own money about 4,5 months ago. It ROCKS!! I got a couple other games
with it, but those aren't important. Just purchased Goldeneye two weeks
ago and it RULES!! It's one of the best. I already have 20 cheats and are
through the game up to Aztec. Below are my ratings for Goldeneye.
Graphics
First of all about this game's graphics: N64 was made and famous for
most of it's games' graphics. Graphics are the best part of a game and
it determines weather the game stinks, or is cool. In other words it tells
if a game is good or bad. The controls, game play, and music and sound
could be great, but if that game's graphics are dumb, then what's the
use of buying it if the graphics are dumb?? Goldeneye's graphics are
awesome!! It shows a first-person view kinda like doom's view. This
is what makes Goldeneye's graphics so cool is the first-person view.
I just call the view that. Another thing is the background. It looks
soooooo realistic in the background. Take the Facility for an example.
Now compare it with the movies background of the facility. They look
the same. Sort of.
Music and Sound
The music and sound are another "Must be good to buy" thing. Mostly
everything needs to be good to buy including the graphics, game play
control, and how much fun it is to play just to buy an N64 game. I
believe Goldeneye's music and sound are just as good as the movies.
Once more, compare the music of the game to the movies. I couldn't
make a difference in them both. They sounded the same just one
difference. The music is just made different to fit the game. Listen
to the Cradle's music on the movie and then game. No difference.
This game has very high statistics in everything.
Game Play-Fun
The game play in this game is very high. Games need to be at least a
little bit fun or why waste the money to buy them and the time to
play them. Think of it. If a game wasn't fun, who would play it. A
game's play control and how much fun it is to play it are the next
most important thing. Like above, who would play a game that wasn't
fun?? An example to prove to most people that this game is fun to
play: I get up every morning and play it for over an hour. It sometimes
can get frustrating if you're trying to get a really hard cheat, but
what good would a game be if it wasn't the least bit frustrating??
Goldeneye's game play control can be confusing to a new-timer. It
was the most confusing game to me until I learned the controls.
Think this pretty stupid, but I didn't even know how to play or fire!!
Once you memorize these seemingly hard controls, you'll always
remember 'em. Goldeneye's controls and rate of fun is not standard,
but high.
Overall
Goldeneye is the best game I've ever played. It is worth the price, but
I got it for a very, very cheap price around $25.00 when it's worth about
55, $60.00. I got it so cheap because my Mother knew the person who
sold it to her. The graphics rock, the game play control and how much
fun it is are awesome, the background music is the best, and this game
should not be ignored. This is one of the best games N64 ever made. I
believe everyone should have a copy of this awesome game. Just wait
until they make Tomorrow Never Dies for N64!! That could or might be
as good as or better than Goldeneye, but who'll know until they play it??
