Goldeneye 007
Reviewed by Ben Kowal
This is a great game. By far the best I've played. The graphics were excellent,
and guns are always good, and it's not like one of those stupid little baby
games. And if that's not enough, I couldn't have cared less about James Bond
before this game came out, but afterwards I became a huge James Bond fan.
I mean, in what other game can you torture scientists by shooting them in
the head, and with cheats they live through it? This game is so good, I spent
almost all my time playing it over and over. Even though I've gotten all the
cheats and beaten all the levels, it's still very, very fun.
Graphics 10 out of 10
This games graphics are very good. The motion sickness type of person
might not like it, but hey! I'm not motion sickness vulnerable, so to me
it makes no difference. Then people actually have faces! And if you shoot
a man, he bleeds where you shot him. There is very little fog covering up
the distant areas. And the pictures are just so good it makes you want to
just look with a sniper rifle. Also, guns are actually on the ground and
they look like what you have. You character has several outfits, all beutifully
made. When you pause, it even shows you your watch, made very well. So
the graphics are great, as I stated before.
Music and Sound 10 out of 10
When you shoot a man, he even yells "Uggh!". Your guns all sound different.
Boxes make explosions, and the music is something to talk about. Not much
else to say. The music is great, the sound is great.
Game Challenge 10 out of 10
This is a very, very challenging game. You have three difficulties: Hard,
Really Hard, and Impossible. If you do this, you beat levels in good times
and get the cheats. After you get all this, you still have a 007 mode to
play with, which gives you the challenge of super strong, perceptive,
accurate, and damaging enemies. So even if you do it all, like me, you
still have tons of challenge. I think the most challenging is trying to
get the facility on 00 in 2:05 for invincibility, or the statue park in 3:15
on Secret agent for Fast Animation. The game obviously have lots of challenge.
Game Play-Fun 10 out of 10
What's funnier than picking on scientists or blowing up your buddy in
Multiplayer? This game has what it takes to be great. Your game play
is precision. You press forward, you go forward. It is just the way it
should go. The only problem is the game is so fun you might get addicted
and forget to eat and you'll starve to death. It is this reason you should
sit on a box of tacks as you play.
Rumble Pak 10 out of 10
The rumble pack was not the greatest device in the world, but in Goldeneye
it actually does something better. It shakes when you fire your gun, or if
something explodes, or whatever. The rumble pack is a good buy if you
buy this game.
Frustration
My name is Frustrating. Very Frustrating. Literally. Make sure you have hair
protection if you attempt to earn cheats. The game is just plain good, and
there is no reason to question that.
Replayability 10 out of 10
Out of what I've told you, you should already know that the cheats and levels
offer do much replay value that you might think it was two games packaged
together.
Game Value 10 out of 10
It was great. Worth the price.
Story\Plot 10 out of 10
Being made from a movie, this has an excellent plot. Unlike some other
games, like games starring a fat Italian with a big nose, this game has
more of a plot. The story is pretty much the same thing.
Good Extras 10 out of 10
OK, Diddy the idiot monkey, move over and get out of my tank. And I mean really.
This game is just perfect.
Overall 10 out of 10
So I've explained it all. The game rules. It rules, it rules, it rules. If you
disagree, I'd love to hear your opinion, because it would have to be really
bad. The game is so great that...that...I don't even know how great it is, I'll
tell you when I stop playing it.
