1080* Snowboarding
Reviewed by Adrian Sandoval
1080 SB Is one Terrific game you will love! From SnowBoarding down
hills, jumping 1000 feet in the air, to having a panda bear as a rider,
this game has it all! You are guaranteed to love it! Now lets look at some
stats for this masterpiece done by the great, Shigeru Miyamoto!
Graphics 100 out of 100
I know it, you know it, we all know it. N64 is a glitch power house. From
seeing your enemy through a wall, to going through your character's head.
Almost every game has these glitches, Not 1080. These graphics are truly
amazing. The lighting effect is better than Mario Kart, the fire in the lodge
looks so real, you can practically feel the warmth, all the way to the characters
having 3D modeled heads. The best part is, there is no N64 fog! That stuff
caused me to lose in other games. The closest thing to a graphic problem in
this game are those reflections coming from the sun as if it were real,
could be to bright like in real life, and mess you up. THAT is how good these
graphics are. I have not seen any better, especially on the N64. When it
comes to graphics as beautiful as 1080, you might as well do real
snowboarding, theres not to much of a difference.
Music and Sound 98 out of 100
Of course, Sound makes a lot for this games. The music is actually CD
quality, and none of that MIDI crap. The N64 is great for graphics, but
not for sound until this game came. The only reason I gave sound a 98
is because of those annoying bleeps and bloops. Sound is dead on. If you
land on a rock, you will hear a *CRUUNNNNCCHH!* as soon as you land
on it. The voices given to the characters is perfect. They all sound like
they are from there country. And on the slopes, the music takes to a high
beat while your tricks makes great woosh a effects for turns, and the
wind is blowing through the rustle you hear from the trees. Sound is
wonderful.
Game Challenge 100 out of 100
Challenge is wonderful. Those 1080 tricks will take you at the least
a month to master. Then you have to beat the race mode in first place,
then beat the EAD times and scores, to finding the Panda rider, the Ice
Man and the penguin board. This game has it all. Challenge is, of course,
effecting the replay. The harder, the better. The more the challenge, the
longer you play. I have not done anything yet, but trying as hard as I can.
And this game has ghost riders you can trade on memory carts with your
friends. See if your friend can beat you, ETC. which leaves room for
almost unlimited challenge, trying to beat your friend. I know that know
one will be able to get everything they want out of this game for at
least 6 months.
Game Play-Fun 100 out of 100
Need I say more? I have noted the challenge, which is probably the best
part. You are going to have the thrill of your life racing down the beautifully
rendered slopes. Then, there's multi play. The thing that made Mario Kart 64
the best seller of 97. And of course, it's as fun as MK to. You and your
friends will get so into the game, you will even start to make bets. You
and your family will keep playing during quality moments. This game is
good. Trust me.
Frustration
If you call trying to beat the EAD times to get a panda bear frustrating
because it takes so long, then I guess there is some.
Replayability 100 out of 100
Look at Game Challenge, I pretty much said it there!
Game Value 100 out of 100
If you have 50 bucks in your pocket, a N64 but don't have this game,
Snowboard down to your local store and pick this game up NOW! If
you love your N64 do it! You will love this game.
Overall 98 out of 100
Well folks, that's 1080! This game has everything you want and is
guaranteed to be the next million seller. You don't even have to
understand snowboarding to love this game. It's a masterpiece that
only Shigeru Miyamoto could do.
