The Legend of Zelda
Reviewed by Ryan Scott
Everybody has heard of this great game, the first RPG. The action keeps
on going as there are 9 levels with a 2nd Quest that has 9 levels. Whoever
made this game was a genius. The next Zelda game pales in comparison
to this game.
Graphics 10 out of 10
The graphics are amazing for an 8 bit system. The sword graphics are
great. It's not a side scrolling game. Unlike most NES games you can see
the front and back sides of his body where in other games you can only
see the right side of his body.
Music and Sound 10 out of 10
The music of this game is the best (not the clearest) of any NES game out.
The famous overworld theme is great and I like that the best. Although the
castle theme gets annoying and repetitive the music is the best.
Game Challenge 9 out of 10
This game is very challenging especially if you don't any codes like I did.
The 2nd Quest is very hard because you are used to where all the levels
are, but things are all mixed up. Plus all the weapons you get are in
different levels. You have to find where the items are cause their in
different places too.
Game Play-Fun 10 out of 10
Play this for five minutes and your hooked. You'll play till you beat it and
play it again to find out what else you can do. The first time I beat it I
immediately started a new mode and figured out the warp room that I didn't
know about earlier. You'll want to play this game a lot.
Frustration
The map is very big in which you can get lost in the lost woods or lost in
the lost hills. Fighting bosses with no idea how to beat them is hard and
when you think you've beat it there is a 2nd quest. People don't say but
one thing and that is frustrating because they don't give a clue about where.
Replayability 9 out of 10
The replayability of Legend of Zelda is great if you beat it once you still
wont do everything that you can do in this game. Finding codes is also a
thing that is easier to do in this game than many others so you will be
searching for codes too.
Game Value 10 out of 10
Since Legend of Zelda is not being sold in stores, you can only buy it at a
use game store like Funcoland. I bought it there and its definitely worth
the $5-$9. I'd still pay $25 for this game so your getting a good deal.
Overall 10 out of 10
Legend of Zelda was not outdone until the Super Nintendo version came out.
It ranks in the top five NES games and is the best RPG for NES. The music is
the best (again not the clearest) of any NES game. You can buy it for a great
deal less than most games and get more time playing it than most other games.
