Wolverine
Reviewed by Lynx561
This is a video game from LJN based on marvel comics x-men hero,
wolverine. The point of the game is to get to sabretooth and defeat
him, but to do this you must go through nine levels of treachery. On
the way you can get items to refill your health and can use your
deadly claws against foes.
Graphics: 7 out of 10
These are some really good graphics for a NES game. All the bad guys
are detailed and the backgrounds are all different. They are smooth too.
So you never get confused what you're doing or where you are.
Music and Sound: 5 out of 10
The music and sound in this game is pretty bland, but you never get
tired of them because the music changes from each stage. The sounds
all make sense to what you're doing and they never get annoying. So
the music and sound in this game is basically average.
Game Challenge: 6 out of 10
The game gives you three lives and one continue, so you won't die as
fast as some games. But that doesn't make the game any more easy
then it really is. Every time you play the game you progress a little
farther. So with practice you will be able to conquer this game.
Game Play-Fun: 7 out of 10
This game is amazingly fun for a basic platform game.It has 9
missions or as they're called in the game "trials" and each of
them are different. For example there's trial by water where you
must swim, and there's trial by terror where there are lots of
zombies and ghouls and so forth. So the game does have a lot
of variety.
Frustration
The bad part about this game is that when you run into a guy or
a guy runs into you instead of being hit and then you start blinking
and can run away the guy keeps hurting you until you die or you move.
And trust me when you're doing good this can be frustrating.
Replayability: 4 out of 10
If you have already beat this game it will most likely just sit on
your shelf unless you sell it because after you beat it loses a lot
of its fun. But if your still trying to beat it does the job.
Game Value: 6 out of 10
You can probably find this game used for about $3, so its probably
worth the price. But there are a lot of other great games out there
so if you already have those great games or just want something
thats kind of different you might like this.
Overall: 6 out of 10
If your a big fan of the X-men or like platform games then you will
probably like this game. This is the kind of game made for certain people,
but you still might want to give it try. But I wouldn't by this game just
because of the license. (Or because the last boss, sabretooth, is really easy)
