Willow
Reviewed by SizzleSword
Willow is one of my favorite games on the regular Nintendo, and I
must give major props to it. I remember seeing the movie a long
time ago, loving it, and then buying the game as soon as it came
out. I played it and played it (with my dad), until we beat it... Back
then, I wasn't very good with RPG/Adventure games, so I needed a
lot of help. I think that it's a great game, and it deserves more
respect than it is given.
Graphics 9 out of 10
I think that the graphics in Willow are pretty good, considering
that it's on the regular Nintendo and all. There's lots of detail on
almost everything in the game, and from screenshots and stuff,
it looks like an Super NES game.
Music and Sound 9 out of 10
The music in this game is very good, even though it only has a few
themes from the movie. The music is very cool, and it changed
frequently. Even though it has been about 4 years since I have
played this game, I still hum the themes in my head a lot.
Game Challenge 9 out of 10
Even though Willow isn't a really hard game, it isn't too easy
either... It's very long, and gets sort of confusing once you get far
into the game. You get to use swords and shield, magic, and items.
It's like an RPG game, without a lot of towns and turn-based fighting.
Game Play-Fun 9 out of 10
I had LOTS of fun playing this game... It seems like every time that
I'd play through it again, I'd already have forgotten the stuff, and
didn't seem like it was repeating anything. Don't get me wrong, the
script in this game doesn't change or anything, it's just so big and
cool that you might forget some stuff whenever you go through it again.
Frustration
Well, since this game uses a password feature, writing down the
password whenever you feel like turning the game off gets really
annoying after a while. That's about all in this game that is frustrating.
Replayability 10 out of 10
Like I've said, it's fun to play this game over and over again, if you
wait at least 5 months before doing so... It seems as though
everything you find is new, and you get into the game once more.
Game Value 9 out of 10
Everywhere that I go, I see this game for around $5... This is a great
deal, since it is such a large and fun game. If you see this game
somewhere for this price, I'd advise you to get it.
Overall 9 out of 10
I will never forget Willow, and I have no idea why... It's not my
favorite game or anything, but the themes and characters seem to
stick in my mind... It's a great game, and if your an RPG/Adventure
fan, you should defiantly check this game out.
