Overall: 7 out of 10
Graphics: The graphics are okay and pretty average for the NES. There's
a nice amount of detail in all the characters, except for the ninja
turtles, and there's a pretty nice dark color scheme throughout all
of the game.
Sound: The sound is also pretty average in terms of the NES. It's not
the best quality music, but a lot of it sounds like the cartoon series
and it's pretty good.
Gameplay: A very cool sidescroller, since you can play as the four
different turtles. Each one has their own weapon, strengths, and
weaknesses so you have to learn when to use your different characters.
There's also powerups on the ground that you have to save in order to
make your way easier.
Hardness factor: The game gets pretty hard. There are a lot of pits,
enemies (which reappear once you scroll back over) and not enough
life giving things. Also, the bosses can get really hard, especially later
in the game. Get a Game Genie if you're playing this one.
Overall: 7 out of 10. A really nice sidescroller that a lot of people enjoyed
when it first came out. It's not very exciting by today's standards, but if
you're bored enough it's very nice.
