Overall: 7 out of 10
Graphics: The graphics are pretty good, but were great when it came out.
There's a lot of detail in characters (they look almost exactly like the
cartoon) and there's usually a good color scheme, except when enemies
get weak and start flashing that weird color.
Sound: The sound was also done very well. Some of the songs were taken
from the cartoon and the ones that weren't sound like they could be. Sound
effects were also pretty well and sound vaguely cartoonish.
Gameplay: This was an extremely popular game in the arcades, I remember
people lining up to play it with their friends and spending a lot of money.
It was one of the first popular beat 'em ups ever made. Anyway, it is a
good game, though it's a bit outdated nowadays. You play as the Teenage
Mutant Ninja Turtles (each with their own special moves and weapons)
and beat up enemies, and then the boss, in order to finish a level. It's
really fun and was made very well. The controls are easy to learn,
which is also good.
Hardness factor: The game can get very hard if you don't have enough
extra guys in the last two levels, so it may take you a few times to
get to the last boss.
Overall: 7 out of 10. The TMNT games were done very well on the NES
and this game is no exception. Definitely get this game if you like
playing old Nintendo games.
