Tiny Toon Adventures 2: Trouble in Wackyland
Reviewed by Shane Livingston
The game Tiny Toon Adventures 2 is based on the popular cartoon
series. Wackyland is an amusement with a twist, it's dangerous.
Wackyland was built by Montana Max. There are four rides that you
must beat in order to go one on one with Montana in the Fun House.
For each ride you are a different character. On the roller coaster
you are Babs, you must dodge things coming in your path by either
ducking or jumping while you're moving. On the bumper cars you are
Plucky and you must push the other two cars down the hole before
time runs out. There are 3 levels and 2 opponents on each for the
bumper cars. On the Log Ride you're Furrball, it follows pretty
much the same concept as the roller coaster. On the train ride
you're the pig, I think his name is Hampton. The train ride part
of the game is close to Mario Brothers in action and at the end
you have to kill a big dog. Once you have beaten all the rides you
can go to the Fun House. In the Fun House you're Buster, this place
is pretty much a maze and you have to find and destroy Montana
before time runs out.
Graphics: 10 out of 10
This game has really excellent graphics for a Nintendo game. Not
only does it have good graphics during play, it rewards you with a
cute scene after finishing every ride. The graphics are part of the
reason why I played this game over and over. If you were/are a fan
of this cartoon you will love this game, it really brings the
characters to life.
Music and Sound: 10 out of 10
The music and sound fit this game very well. The game is about an
amusement park and the music is light and goes along with the
theme of the ride or attraction. When you move to a ride it makes a
noise letting you know that's the one you're about to select i.e. when
you move Buster to the train it blows it's horn.
Game Challenge: 5 out of 10
This game isn't very challenging, once you finish a ride it's not
difficult to do so again. But this game falls into the same category
as the original Mario Bros. it's hard at first and then you have it down
to a science, you still play it because it's just fun.
Game Play-Fun: 10 out of 10
This game is probably the funniest NES game I own. It's a game that
you don't have to invest a lot of time into to beat and if you have to
turn it off midway it's not so bad because you can always get back
there in no time. I can beat this game in about a half hour. It's great
for those times when you don't have a lot of time just to sit and play
for hours. It's also great for smaller kids because it's not so challenging.
The graphics and animations make it really rewarding to beat a ride
and the game.
Frustration
Like I said, once you finish a ride you should be able to do it again.
The bumper cars can be a little challenging sometimes though. You
have to deal with pads and bad guys trying to push you down into a
hole while you're trying to push them.
Game Value: 10 out of 10
I got this game as a birthday present when it came out and it was the
best thing I got that year, it's definitely worth it. If you can find it at a
trading place or online somewhere at a decent price go for it.
