Graphics: The graphics were pretty good in this game. While a few
enemies and the scenery were made up of very few colors, there was
a sufficient amount of detail in the game for me to give it a high
score. Also, there is a ton of detailing in just about everything in this game.
Sound: The music was pretty bad in this game. Not only that, it was
nonexistent. There are only a few sound blurbs in this game and that's
only after you see a boss. Also, the music quality is very low and it
actually gets kind of annoying. Sound effects were okay, but it would
have been nice if they added some music.
Gameplay: A scrolling Shooter. In The Punisher, you play as the Punisher
(Ironic, isn't it?) and you shoot bad guys so they won't kill you. Anyway,
the view is just over the shoulder of the Punisher, and there is also a
crosshair on the screen. You are supposed to shoot the bad guys with
your various guns (acquired by the different powerups in this game)
while simultaneously dodging bullets. You can also throw a grenade,
which clears the screen, if you're in a bit of trouble. In order to get
powerups, which include armor and life besides different guns and
ammo, you have to shoot the scenery. Usually there are a lot of them
around, so you won't run out of ammo anytime soon. Even if you do, your
ammo steadily inclines.
Hardness factor: This game was pretty hard. While there are a lot of
powerups in this game so you won't be in trouble a lot, it's kind of hard
to dodge bullets and shoot at the same time. It would have been easier
if you moved faster, too.
Overall: 5 out of 10. This game was pretty average. It shined in most of
its aspects and was generally fun until you're about a third done with the
game. Gets a little boring after a while, but you might want to check it out.
