Sound: 5 out of 10
Gameplay: 3.5 out of 10
Hardness factor: 5.5 out of 10
Overall: 4 out of 10
Graphics: The graphics are okay. When you first look at the game, it looks
like a Megaman game, since there are a lot of similar enemies and the
color scheme is kind of like it. The quality isn't quite as good, unfortunately,
but it's still pretty good overall.
Sound: The music was the best part of this game. While it was kind of boring
at times, usually it was okay. It wasn't bad, but it really didn't add much to
the game. Sound effects, on the other hand, were nicely done. They fit the
mood of the game, though they weren't spectacular enough.
Gameplay: This game is a pretty basic sidescroller. You play as a guy (who
looks a lot like Duke Nukem) and you're supposed to throw your boomerang
at enemies in order to beat the game. After you beat a boss, of course.
Anyway, there really isn't a lot to this game. Besides just doing that, there
are a few powerups that you can pick up, but they don't do much besides
increasing the power of the throw and how many boomerangs you can throw.
The dynamics were all messed up in this game, like how you jump, when
you get hit, and so on. This game is almost like a poorly crafted Konami game.
Hardness factor: This game wasn't too hard. The jumping takes a while
to get used to, but after falling in the first pit a few times you should
catch on. You usually can stay pretty far away from enemies or just jump
high and throw your boomerang down onto them, but some enemies can
really mess you up in a few hits.
Overall: 4 out of 10. This game was okay, but it lacked a lot of depth that
other sidescrollers have. What's more amazing is that they made a sequel
to this game.
