Gameplay: 1.5 out of 10
Hardness factor: 6 out of 10
Overall: 1.5 out of 10
Graphics: The graphics were pretty bad. The color scheme was
undeveloped and looked way too childish. I would expect these graphics
for the Atari. Anyway, there really aren't any detailing or cool effects.
They couldn't even get a springboard down right.
Sound: The music in this game was really bad. The quality was low,
but once again it was just too cartoony and childish. Sound effects
were annoying and I think that the jumping was adapted or taken
from Super Mario Bros.
Gameplay: Mystery Quest is just another bad sidescroller. You play
as some kid who runs around and you must get to the end of a level.
It's as simple as that. Anyway, you can also fire fireballs at the enemies
that are around. The only thing that's different between this and Super
Mario Bros. is that you can't jump on top of enemies heads. The dynamics
and controls are pretty bad, too. I wonder why they decided to release
this game instead of saving their money.
Hardness factor: This game wasn't too bad. The flying enemies are really
fast though and you'll probably die a few times because of them.
Overall: 1.5 out of 10. This game was just horrible. I usually hate clones,
especially if they are just bad. The games graphics, music, and gameplay
all definitely needed to be worked on.
