Gameplay: 5 out of 10
Hardness factor: 5.5 out of 10
Overall: 4.5 out of 10
Graphics: The graphics were definitely the worst part about this game.
Most things were shaded with one or two colors and had a very ugly
outline. The color scheme almost looked like it belonged on a commodore
game, but the graphical quality was just a little bit below average.
Sound: The music in this game was okay, but the sound quality was on
the low side. The problem with the music in this game was that it just
gets repetitive. I could have done without it.
Gameplay: Metal Storm was kind of different. It's a lot like a space shooter,
like Gradius, since you move pretty fast, shoot the same way, and one
hit and you're dead. However, it's basically a sidescroller since you have
to walk around and you can jump. First of all, the controls were pretty
good in this game. They were simple and easy to get the hang of. However,
the game was kind of boring. There isn't any replay value to this game.
Basically, all you do is go across a level killing enemies, dodging bullets,
and dodging spikes, until you beat the game. There wasn't anything
original about this game at all.
Hardness factor: This game was pretty average in terms of how hard it
was. While you'd think it would be hard because once you run into someone
you're dead, but it really wasn't.
Overall: 4.5 out of 10. This game was okay. If you like old spaceshooters
and basic sidescrollers, you'll probably enjoy this game for a little bit.
However, it's kind of boring, so I don't think anyone would really enjoy
it for long.
