Overall: 2 out of 10
Graphics: The graphics weren't any good in this game. The color scheme
was kind of dark, but that may be overlooked because the graphics were
even worse. Most enemies were just blobs or undefiled and the animation
was very jerky.
Sound: The music in this game was horrible. The music was very annoying
and the quality was poor at best. I don't know who composed this, but they
must have been trying to torture people.
Gameplay: Metal Mech is one of those games I wish I'd never played. It's
just a Blaster Master clone, but it wasn't done well at all. You are a guy
inside of what looks like a Walker from Star Wars, I think and you are
supposed to get to the end of a level and beat a boss. If your Mech gets
beat up or you think there is an easier way to go, you can jump out of
your Mech and walk around like that. The controls may have been the
worst part of this game. You can only fire in 8 different directions,
so you'll always be running around trying to get to that angle to shoot
an enemy down. The whole game is repetitive, boring, and a waste of
time. The story is overdone too.
Hardness factor: This game was kind of hard. The whole game was jerky
and the controls were really bad. A lot of the enemies just surround you
and are really annoying, just like mosquitoes.
Overall: 2 out of 10. There wasn't one thing about this game I liked. That
and I really think most clones are done very badly. I don't recommend this
game, even if you loved Blaster Master.
