Mega Man
Reviewed by Matt Tiblier
I didn't play this game until Mega Man 4 had already come out, so I
thought that it would be dumb. I found out that this game proved to be
the hardest Mega Man game that I ever played. I think that it was a
good game. The levels were hard to get through, and the game play
was good considering that it was an old game.
Graphics 7.5 out of 10
The graphics form the game were OK. They were smooth, but had a few
glitches in them. Some times when you thought that you were in the
clear on a jump, you would fall down a hole, or on a spike bed. Other than
that, they were good graphics.
Music and Sound 6 out of 10
I thought that the some of the music was stupid. It lacked the feeling
that the other Mega Man games had. The sound, on the other hand, was
as good as the other games. They were about the same, and that's what
I was looking for. The music was the only thing that brought the score
down.
Game Challenge 9 out of 10
Like I said in the intro., the game challenge was the best that I had seen
in the Mega Man series. The hardest part for me was in GutsMan stage,
were you had to jump over the holes in the moving platforms. The bosses
were very hard if you didn't have the Master Weapon for him.
Game Play-Fun 8.5 out of 10
The fun part has brought down by the hardness of the game. It wasn't
that much, though. I think that for a game to be fun, it has to be hard to.
If it's not real hard, you'll beat it so fast, you'll start to wonder if you
did have fun.
Replayability 9 out of 10
It all goes back to it being hard. You will want to go back and play it
again to see if you have found EVERYTHING. The score board thing was
good to. You could see if you could beat you score over and over again.
Game Value 8.5 out of 10
I'm not sure what the original price of the game was. What ever, though,
it was worth it. You get a game that you can replay a lot, and still have
a good time doing it.
Overall 9 out of 10
The game was hard, fun, and an overall good game. This game gave way
to a whole line of Mega Man games that were almost the same. This game
did please me, and not a lot of NES games did.
