Mega Man 2
Reviewed by SizzleSword
Well, this is the first Mega Man game that I played, so I still
admire it very much. Even though it's not the most difficult
one out there, it's still pretty hard at some points. Just like
any other Mega Man game, it's easy to play, so there's no mass
confusion in it or anything. It's probably my second favorite NES
Mega Man game.
Graphics 9 out of 10
I think that the graphics of this game were amazing at it's time,
considering the scrolling and everything. Everything looked pretty
good, and it doesn't seem like any two levels look exactly alike in
any part. Overall, in this category, it exceeds over almost any
other game of it's time.
Music and Sound 9 out of 10
I remember humming the tunes from this game around the house
when I used to play it. They're really good, in my opinion, and suit
the parts of the game very well. I would give it a 10, but it's not
quite as good as the music from Mega Man 3.
Game Challenge 8 out of 10
This game isn't very difficult, if you've played any other Mega
Man games. It's pretty much the same, just new bosses. As a matter
of fact, in my opinion, Mega Man 1 is much harder than this one. But,
there are a few parts of the game where you'll die many times,
because you're not exactly sure what to do or how to do it correctly.
If you've played and beaten either Mega Man 4 or 5, this game will be a
sinche. If not, it's pretty average in the challenge category.
Game Play-Fun 10 out of 10
I had a BLAST playing this game about 9 years ago. Even though I'd
get mad at dying and stuff, it was one of the funniest Mega Man
games that I've played. I've played and beat this game 8 times now,
and I can go and play it again and again; it just doesn't get boring.
Frustration
The only frustration that I encountered in this game was when
there was a new boss (especially the Dragon on the first Dr. Wily
Stage), and you didn't know how to pass it. Besides that, nothing
really frustrated me.
Replayability 10 out of 10
As I said a few paragraphs about, I've played and beat this game many
times, and I'm sure that I'll do it many more times before I 'retire' with
my video games, heh. For some reason, not many Mega Man games that
I have bore me after a while.
Game Value 10 out of 10
I payed about $25 when this game came out, and that was a pretty
good price for an NES game back then. The thing is, I lost it or something,
so I had to buy a new copy a few years ago. I went to a video game store,
and bought it for $2.50. In my opinion, that's an EXCELLENT price for a
game as great as this.
Overall 9 out of 10
As I have said, this is one of my favorite Mega Man games, and I'll
never forget it. I'm sure that I'll beat this game another 8 times in
the next few years, and still not be bored of it. While not perfect,
I'm sure that you'll have a great time with it if you own any other
Mega Man games. It's an excellent game, and if you don't have it and
know where you can get it for a good price, GO OUT THERE AND GET
IT, IT'S EXCELLENT!
