Gameplay: 5.5 out of 10
Hardness factor: 6 out of 10
Overall: 5 out of 10
Graphics: The graphics in this game were pretty good. While I didn't
really like the ship you pilot (It looks too much like a commercial jet)
the detailing, enemies, backgrounds, and even the color scheme are really
good in this game. It goes for a dark creepy theme (for the NES) and pulls
it off pretty well.
Sound: The music in this game is pretty good, but it seems to be lacking
a little bit of luster. Sound effects are fine, but they should have done a
little bit more with the sound effects.
Gameplay: This game is Gradius. Or at least a very good clone (it's made
by the same company). Anyway, this game is almost exactly the same.
Enemies are of the same style in this game. However, it just isn't the
same. It even has the same power system in the game, but I just didn't
like it as much. It's probably just because of that Boeing 747 you pilot.
Controls were pretty good in this game, not the best, but still pretty good.
Hardness factor: This game was kind of hard. Once you get destroyed,
you lose all your powerups, so you have to watch out for that. However,
besides having to fly through walls before they close up, this game
really isn't tremendously hard.
Overall: 5 out of 10. This game was pretty good, but I couldn't get past
the fact that this was a Gradius clone in every way. You might still
want to try it out (or Gradius) since this is a very good game.
