Graphics: The graphics in this game are extremely horrible. While the
color scheme is okay at most, and there's some detail in the characters,
much of the game takes place on a map with numbers that are supposed
to represent different places and armies. They could have at least tried
like in some of their other games, even though they sucked too.
Sound: The music in this game was okay. I thought it was pretty cool how
different towns have different music if they are in different regions.
Sound effects were pretty much absent from this game, but weren't bad.
Gameplay: I really hate strategy games where you can't just go in and
have fun. This game is pretty complex and you have to take care of every
reason. Oh, this game is made by KOEI, one of the worst game manufacturers
out there (Infrogames is an example of a worse one) since all of their
strategy games new and old are just boring. Anyway, this is part of
their Historical Simulation series, which just means this game is
exactly like History class. Long and boring. Anyway, like I said before,
you have to take care of everything. Moral of your army, food, treaties.
The list goes on and on. And since the controls are really bad and you
have to wait about 7 minutes in-between turns for everything to go,
this game is even more boring. There wasn't one thing about this game
that I liked.
Hardness factor: This game was very hard. It's so long and tedious that
sometimes you'll forget what you were planning in the first place. Not
that you'll want to play this game for that long.
Overall: 1 out of 10. Just another bad strategy game made by KOEI. I'm
glad I don't own a subscription to PS2 magazine since I'd be getting
demos of their 'new and improved' games.
