King's Knight

Gameplay: 1.5 out of 10

Overall: 1.5 out of 10
Graphics: The graphics are really bad in this game. While the color
scheme is okay (just a little too bright) and the graphical quality is
fine, the enemies and scenery in the game look really childlike. You
can't relate with anything. Most of the enemy designs look like
they've been stolen from better RPGs.
Sound: I started to like the music at first, but after having to hear
the same song throughout the 10 levels I could force myself into
playing, I quickly got sick of it. Ironically, it's the best part of this game.
Gameplay: You may be surprised to know that Squaresoft made a SHMUP
(shoot 'em up, like Gradius) and it stinks. Well, if you've ever played any
(and all) of Square's games after FF6 was released in America, you won't
be surprised to know that this game stinks:) Anyway, it seems they tried
to steal a lot from other popular overhead shooting games at the same
time (just like how the early FFs are definitely a copy of Dragon Warrior).
In this incredibly annoying game, you play as a Knight, a Monster, a Wizard,
and a Thief Boy and must make your way through an incredibly long level.
Not only that, but the levels are almost exactly the same, and you have to
play levels with all of those characters (luckily, only one has to survive
for you to beat the game)! There's no replay value, no cool elements, the
graphics are overdone, the controls are horrible. It's a typical Square game.
Hardness factor: This game wasn't incredibly hard, but there were some
hard parts in it. Like when you're walking around and a bunch of Blue
walls rise from the ground so you get trapped and you have to die
(unless you get lucky and you're by the passage with the way out).
Another plus to this game.
Overall: 1.5 out of 10. Seriously one of the worse overhead shooters
I have ever played. No matter how much you love Square, don't get
this debauchery (as if that has stopped any Square fan before).
