Graphics: The graphics in this game are really good. There's a nice dark color
shade throughout the whole game and the enemies also usually look pretty
dark and twisted. There's a nice amount of detail in this game too, which is
a nice addition. Bosses should have been worked on a bit since they just look
like regular enemies.
Sound: The music in this game is also really good. It sets the whole theme
of the game very well and I actually got some of the songs stuck in my head.
The quality of the sound effects were even good, which is a change of pace
from most NES games. Very original.
Gameplay: I really liked this game. It's a pretty basic sidescroller where
you play as a guy who attacks with his hair (he looks like a Kabuki doll I
guess) and you must make your way over a level. What I really liked about
this game, though, was that it reminded me a bit of Ninja Gaiden. It had
that same fast gameplay where everything just seems to blend together
very well. While not quite as good as NG is, it's still a pretty cool game.
Controls are pretty easy, though I would have liked to see him attack a
little quicker.
Hardness factor: This game was a little easier than most games are. I
didn't have much of a problem for the first five levels or so and then it
just got up to normal speed.
Overall: 6 out of 10. I enjoyed this game since it reminded me a lot of
Ninja Gaiden. If you liked that game, I totally recommend this game to
you. However, if you didn't, I wouldn't bother getting it.
