Final Fantasy
Reviewed by Lord Nazerous
Ahh! The game that started it all. The legends of Final Fantasy. To some..and me...the
GREATEST games ever created. But how is the original? The proto-type for the series?
Well, read on...
Graphics 9 out of 10
Excellent graphics, almost perfect, but they could be slightly better. The buildings
are surprisingly detailed, along with the main characters. Water, forests and grass
are well depicted on the over-head map. The reason it was deducted a point is the fact
that everything could be a little better.
Music and Sound 10 out of 10
The best music track I've EVER heard on the NES. Beautiful sound tracks that live true
to the Final Fantasy series. My only regret is that I can't find a CD sound track for it. :-(
Oh well that will only make me want to play it again. Sound effects are great! Where
they aren't the best on the Nintendo, they are quite good. From the sounds of an enemy's
punch, to the pop up of the message screen.
Game Challenge
Game Challenge depends on how you go about the game, and the battle speed you set
it on. If you're like me, You'll check every square inch of the game...making for a
difficulty of 8 out of 10. Not hard enough? Well ok just push the battle speed up to
the max. and you've got a difficuly rating of 10 out of 10. Say your not the difficult
type? That's okay. If you go at the game straight through I'll give it a difficulty of
6 out of 10. Too hard? Ok just push the battle speed to the slowest possible, that
makes the rating 4 out of 10. There you have it..Challenge for every one.
Game Play-Fun 10 out of 10
The story line is very intracate and fun. Game-play faults are barely noticeable.
Simple controls. Different weapons, armor, spells...ect... Very fun and addictive.
Don't start this game if you have a term paper due! This game is jamm-pack with
twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of you seat!
Frustration
Okay, as pathetic as this is..You have to hold in the reset button, when turning the
system off. Other wise you'll lose all your save data. This can be annoying.
Replayability 9 out of 10
The only thing that takes away from the replay value, is the story line. Once you
know it, well...you know it! But that hasn't stopped me from playing it five
times--I've only had it for two months 6/22/98--Every time you play, you find
something new!
Game Value 10 out of 10
I payed $15 dollars for this masterpiece. I was willing to pay $30 dollars for it!
Although it doesn't have the instruction manuals, you can order them from

Overall 10 out of 10
A MUST for all NES owners. In fact I bought a NES just for this (although I do own
other games) Music and story-line are flawless. Game-play, sound effects and
graphics have a little bit of room for improvement. BUY IT!
