Overall: 1.5 out of 10
Graphics: The graphics in this game are really bad. Is the main character
supposed to look that much like a monkey? Anyway, there really isn't
any detail in much of anything in this game. Even the characters that
they wanted to make detailed just look like a jumbled mess of colors and
lines. I didn't even know who the enemy was supposed to be. You should
see the color scheme by the way, it's horrible.
Sound: The music is just annoying and there aren't enough sound effects
in this game. The quality is also almost as bad as you can get.
Gameplay: This game is really bad, maybe because it's Dragon Ball. It's
in an isometric type view; a lot like Pocky & Rocky and The Mystical
Ninja, but everything is just so underdeveloped. The controls are bad
and unresponsive, the storyline is incredibly lame (just like the cartoon)
and they definitely should have worked on the translation. Anyway, you
run around killing enemies and getting some 'helpful' items. After you
kill a certain type, a door will open up and then you go into a very poorly
developed sidescrolling-fighting mode. You must kill an enemy before
he kills you, but all you can do is do a small jump and hit. This game
is devoid of any fun.
Hardness factor: Some parts of this game are harder than others. For
the first few levels, all you have to do is charge at the boss and repeatedly
hit, while later in the game you have to jump over the boss and avoid
whatever he has going after you.
Overall: 1.5 out of 10. This game is almost as crappy as the Dragon
Ball anime series. Do yourself a favor and don't get this game, even
if you're a fan of the show.
