Graphics: This game graphics that were a tiny bit better than most.
The color schemes in this game weren't the best ever and some of the
shading off, but what the games graphics did have was originality. There
are actually interesting enemies in this game that have quite a bit of
detail in them.
Sound: I liked the music in this game. It wasn't overpowering enough to
be distracting, but it had a nice beat to it. The quality was pretty
average for a NES game.
Gameplay: A very simple sidescroller. You play as someone with a sword
and must make your way to the end of a level and to a boss. There really
isn't a ton of original aspects in this game except that if you run away
from an enemy and the screen overtakes him, he'll still run after you which
adds quite a bit of challenge in the game if you ignore enemies. Anyway, I
didn't really find anything else about the game. It was exciting and challenging,
part of which was because there was a very good level design.
Hardness factor: This game was pretty hard. Like stated before, you can't
just ignore the enemies. Also, you don't have many powerups to aid you in
this game. Finally, you can only hit right ahead of you, which is a little
nerve racking.
Overall: 5.5 out of 10. This game is how most sidescrollers are, but it had
a very good level design and there was a great theme to it. It's nothing
special, but you might want to check it out.
