Graphics: This game had so-so graphics, but it was an excellent port.
The enemies in this game are all nicely detailed and the color scheme
in this game, while maybe not discerning, was very good. The only problem
I had with this game is that you don't play as Mario.
Sound: The music quality was pretty good in this game. Also, there were a
few songs that were mixes of the song in Donkey Kong 1, which I thought
was kind of neat. Sound effects were done quite well.
Gameplay: This is a very interesting game. You play as Stanley the Bugman
(I believe that is what his name was anyhow) who is basically a small guy
with bug spray. You run around a multi-platformed level and try to shoot at
Donkey Kong so he goes to the top of the screen and also get rid of all the
bugs so they don't harm you or take away all of your flowers. This game is
actually very fun as it adds some interesting enemies and elements to
the playing field.
Hardness factor: Donkey Kong 3 was a pretty hard game. While the controls
are pretty good, there are a lot of enemies on the field and some level
designs aren't the easiest to navigate around.
Overall: 6 out of 10. I really enjoyed this game and that much more because
I played this game a lot when I was younger. It is just generally an interesting
ame, so you should definitely check it out.
