Gameplay: 7 out of 10
Hardness factor: 6 out of 10
Overall: 7 out of 10
Graphics: The graphics are adequate for this game, but they aren't really
above normal. The only level that has really original and cool graphics is
the very last. Enemies are usually repetitive and look like just reshaded
characters of previous levels.
Sound: The music is actually pretty cool, but the quality isn't exactly the
best. A lot of the songs sound really cool. The sound effects in this game
are original even though they get repetitive.
Gameplay: This is another really good game that ended up becoming a cult
classic. In this sidescroller, you play as a soldier who is trained to go
against aliens and you make your way to the end of a level. Your weapon of
choice is the gun and you can break apart different capsules in the levels
that give you blaster upgrades, like by turning it into a laser or making it
so you can just hold down the button to shoot rapidly.
Hardness factor: There are a few hard parts in this game but nothing really
spectacular. When I first got to the last guy, I was kind of disappointed
it wasn't harder. Still, it has its moments.
Overall: 7 out of 10. This game is really good and I highly recommend
you check it out. This game is probably the best contra game out there
as none of them added anything different or had a really good feel to it.
