Graphics: 5.5 out of 10
Sound: 5 out of 10
Gameplay: 6.5 out of 10
Hardness factor: 7 out of 10
Overall: 6 out of 10
Graphics: The graphics are just a tiny bit above normal. The color scheme
is really poor and the guy walks really funny after you beat a level, but
there's quite a bit of detail in characters, weapons, buildings, and even
explosions (for a NES game).
Sound: The music was normal. The sound quality was low but the songs
weren't so bad that they were annoying. Sound effects needed to be worked
on just a tiny bit because they are vacant, but at least there are enough of
them in this game.
Gameplay: This is a different type of shoot 'em up. You are looking over the
shoulder of a guy who can run left and right and you must kill a certain
amount of enemies while dodging bullets and explosions and also collecting
powerups to make your gun better. Luckily, you can also duck and roll to the
left and right to dodge projectiles. The controls are actually pretty good,
except that you run left and right to aim at the enemies farther away, so
you can run into a bullet and it just gets annoying.
Hardness factor: While the controls were pretty annoying they really didn't
make this game too much harder. It's just a pretty hard game, especially
with the limitations of the NES.
Overall: 6 out of 10. I really enjoyed playing this game, at least for the
first four levels or so. While this game doesn't have any original aspects
in the later levels, it's still a good game.
