Gameplay: 2.5 out of 10
Hardness factor: 4 out of 10
Overall: 3.5 out of 10
Graphics: The graphics are okay. Everything looks a bit cartoony and only
slightly detailed, but there's a pretty nice color scheme. They could have
worked on some enemies a bit, in my opinion.
Sound: The music is also just okay. The sound quality isn't the best, but
most of the songs are remixes of old songs (or are at least supposed to
hint at old songs) which I thought was pretty neat. Sound effects needed
to be reworked quite a bit.
Gameplay: A very basic sidescroller. It really doesn't get more basic than
running and jumping (even Super Mario Bros. had invincibility and a fire
power). There aren't any cool enemies in this game either, so needless to
say it gets boring after the second level. At least the controls are okay,
though you fall down way too fast.
Hardness factor: There wasn't anything hard about this game but every
once in a while I fell down from a high part and had to climb all the way
back up. They even made it so once you die, you continue from around the
exact same place you died at, which made this game that much easier.
Overall: 3.5 out of 10. A pretty boring game in terms of gameplay, though
the graphics and music were okay for a NES game. Still, I don't think I'll
ever play this game again.
