Graphics: For a NES game, the graphics are very good. There are some
detail in characters and enemies, though the background looks a little
shoddy. Still, a lot of original concepts in this game.
Sound: The music is pretty cool, a step above most games on the NES.
Songs are original and pretty upbeat and sound effects were also
done pretty well.
Gameplay: One of the first, and most popular, beat 'em ups for the NES
(like Double Dragon). In this game, you play as one of three
teenagers-turned-frogs and must work your way to the last boss and
defeat her to win the game. It was pretty original and the dynamics
and controls are better than Double Dragon's are. While there's not
tons of replay value since there are no new things in the game once
you beat it, you'll end up playing it over and over again.
Hardness factor: Pretty challenging. Bosses are hard and even some
enemies get in your way. Luckily, the controls are responsive so
that really helps.
Overall: 7.5 out of 10. A very good game that is one of my favorites
for the NES. If you haven't played this one, I recommend you do.
