Gameplay: 5 out of 10
Hardness factor: 6.5 out of 10
Overall: 5 out of 10
Graphics: The graphics were unspectacular, even though the overhead
view was pretty cool. Enemies were usually just blobs or lame looking
spaceships and this was definitely a port from an arcade game. The only
real thing I liked was that there was a very cool dark color scheme.
Sound: The music was very, very weak. It just seemed to be drowned out
by the sound effects (which were generic), even though they were a bit
too quiet for a game too. The sound quality was low which left me believing
this was an arcade port.
Gameplay: An overhead shooter game. While this game isn't really too
fun, it does have a few interesting things in the game. First, it's in
overhead view, which is pretty cool and somewhat rare for a console
game. Also, not only must you shoot enemies that are coming at you,
you have to shoot enemies and blocks on the ground below. Usually
they will give you powerups which will increase your speed, increase
your weapon, give you an extra guy, destroy all the blocks on the level
leaving only powerups where they should be, or warp you far ahead. Even
with top speed, however, you're still a lot slower than a lot of the enemies.
Hardness factor: This game is pretty hard, since some of the enemies are
spastic and fast, so you have to be quick.
Overall: 5 out of 10. A pretty average game that has it's ups and downs.
If you like space shooters then you'll probably enjoy this game.
