The Adventures of Dino Riki
Reviewed by Lynx561
You are in the stone age as you travel along with Dino Riki from Hudson.
You must go through 4 levels with 4 stages and a boss in each level. There
are a variety of power ups you can get along your journey as well.So if your
ready for some fast paced action this is a game for you.
Graphics: 7 out of 10
This game has really good graphics for a regular Nintendo game. All of the
levels have different bad guys and backgrounds so you never really get tired
of the same stuff over and over. The graphics are also really smooth so it is
easy to know what you are doing and where you are when the action gets fast.
Music and Sound: 8 out of 10
The sound effects and music in this game are really cool.Like most games
the sound effects range from when you jump to when you die, but Dino Riki
adds a few more sound effects like when guys are falling from the top of
the screen it sounds like bombs dropping. And the music in this game changes
from each level, so you might be humming one of the tunes after you play
it a while.
Game Challenge: 9 out of 10
Don't be fooled by the kiddie name this game is actually really hard.It only
gives three lives to beat the game and there isn't a continue option so its
going to take a lot of practice to conquer this game. But the challenge of the
game just adds to the fun so like I have already said don't be fooled.
Game Play-Fun: 7 out of 10
This game is actually really fun.The first time I played it,it reminded me
of Ikari Warriors but a lot funnier. You can get lots of weapons, too. The
weapons go from rocks, to stone axes, to boomerangs, to fire, and then you
turn into macho Riki. But each of the weapons have there strong points. But
instead of conquering the game you can get a bunch of friends and compete
for high scores.
Frustration
The game can can be really frustrating at times. Like when you are trying to
make you jump and you die you have to start at the beginning of the stage
you died on. So if you have a short temper you might want to stay away
from this game.
Replayability: 8 out of 10
Since the game is fun and can take you a while to beat it is very replayable.
But after you conquer it the game will lose its fun a little, but as I said
earlier this is a great game to get together a bunch of friends and play
for high scores.
Game Value: 9 out of 10
The only reason I didn't give this game 10 out of 10 is that you might
not be able to find it near you.I bought my copy at funcoland for a $1 it
was definitely worth that price. It is also a must have game for any
extensive collection of Nintendo games. So if you don't already have this
game and there is a used games store near you I would recommend this game.
Overall: 8 out of 10
Well this is the conclusion to my review of the adventures of Dino Riki.
So if you don't already have this game or you have played Ikari Warriors
and liked it, then this is the game for you.
