10 Yard Fight
Reviewed by Sean Pratt
Remember how the classics like Franstein or Pac-Man still are fun to watch and
play even though there how dated. Reason because they are the roots of the Video
Game Industry and the Movies Industry. Well that's what 10 yard fight is. It's the
roots of Nintendo's Football games. Now like the classics there is nowhere you
can get it anymore. First before I review this great game remember it was made
about 1984-87 I bet.
Graphics 9 out of 10
Nothing Spectacular compared to what was out then. It was probably the first
Football game ever made on any home entertainment system. The graphics are like
Duck Hunt or Mario 1. It's all squares like a bunch of boxes trying to make a huge
image. Back then they thought that looked good and my Mom and Dad thought
that they should name me Sean Pratt and they thought that TV shows like Sliver
Spoons and Disco was still dying in the music industry. Pretty good game overall
those days.
Music and Sound 2 out of 10
What happen to the music? No Music! Barely any sound! That's the 80's for ya!
Absolutely no music which even Mario 1 had. The only sound you hear sound is when
you kick the ball or catch it. Nintendo could have done better. Sound is used as many
times as the Rumble Pack is used on Nintendo 64 most of the time. I wonder what
the Music would sound like in the video game. Probably Static.
Game Challenge 5 out of 10
Hey this is when the video game industry was trying to come back from the grave!
Sure you can be right next to the computer and not get taged or anything! I made 30
goals in 3 minutes! AI is about as smart as a farmer named billy bo bob who lives in
South Carolina. No Offensive to the farmers how there. Also there is no change in
the skill level at all! But considering how dump games were you can't say this is
that bad. Hey look at Mario 1!
Game Play-Fun 5 out of 10
It's pretty fun. This is when games weren't about anything else except fun fun fun
fun fun! When you catch the ball and run down that field dodging the rock figures
is something that you should have to Pay Per View. Well not really but the game is
fun. A lot of the NES games were all about fun. Believe me I should know. I do have
over 70 games for NES. The gameplay is slow but it's very good compare to other
games in the 80's. I hope that Nintendo re-releases a video game classic of the
game. Of course the game should be in the classic pak.
Frustration
A lot of Frustration. It should be renamed Frustration Fight. There is no way that
this game is not frustrating. Even the intro screen sucks. I mean you will be
catching a ball when all of the sudden he dives to right because you pushed it
over to the right to dodge a guy back there and you pushed right twice and it is
now responding. The game is also unfair I mean you will be running for the ball
when it for no reason at all freezes and starts up again at the place where you started.
Replayability 8 out of 10
It's a classic. Like Austin Powers everybody loves him to death and he is a classic.
Of course Nintendo made 64 bit games now and 16 bit. Buy it. It's a good classic. I
wouldn't necessary pay more then 5 dollars for this anymore though.
Game Value 10 out of 10
I bought this game from the gas station up the street about five blocks and paid 25
cents for it. Which game is not worth 25 cents?
Overall 9 out of 10
It's a good old classic like I have stated before you can't hate the classics no matter
what year it is. So BUY IT BUY IT OR RENT IT RENT IT!!!!!!!!
