Super Mario Advance
Reviewed by Michael Morgado
Super Mario Advance is an updated version of Super Mario Bros. 2 for
the NES, with the arcade game Mario Bros. thrown in the mix. Sit back
relax and enjoy the ride.
Graphics: 8.5 out of 10
For all those who have played Super Mario All-Stars for Super NES,
don't expect updated graphics from the all-star version of Super Mario 2.
The graphics are good though, and those looking for a colorful experience
on the Game Boy Advance will not be disappointed.
Music and Sound: 10 out of 10
The sound is awesome! Old school gamers will cry when they hear the
beautiful sounds of the late 80's. The music brings back memories of
me sitting at the t.v playing with my NES. This game possibly has the
best tunes out of all the series.
Game Challenge: 6 out of 10
Mario games have always been some-what hard at first, and this game
is no different. Some parts actually frustrated me, but that's because
I had not played the game in years. Unfortunately, the first time you beat
the game will probably satisfy you. If you really feel bored play the game
again to collect the Yoshi Eggs.
Game Play-Fun: 10 out of 10
It's awesome being able to relive your child hood memories through
a new generation. New gamers should give this game a try and find
out what us old fogeys be talking about.
Frustration
Not much. Straight forward most of the time.
Replayability: 4 out of 10
After you beat it once, there is not much to do. All there is left to do
is play the multi player and collect the Yoshi Egg's. If you're a dedicated
gamer, you will want to play through it again.
Game Value: 8 out of 10
Although it cost me $69.00, I think it was worth it. I mean, come on,
who wouldn't want to see his old pall Mario? The price isn't suited for
everyone, but it wasn't that bad.
Overall: 8.5 out of 10
If you want to relive the 80's, and who wouldn't, then you should buy
this game. Lot's of fun, and since it costs less now, you should get, cuz
in a couple of years it will be a classic and it will be off the shelf. This
is Cafas signing off saying "Get in the game."
