Gameplay: 6.5 out of 10
Hardness factor: 4 out of 10
Overall: 7 out of 10
Graphics: The graphics are nice, some of the best for the GBA so far.
There are a lot of effects used, such as scaling and a few transparencies,
and the color scheme is usually pretty well. Unfortunately, the enemies and
characters look pretty bland, usually just being blobs with wings.
Sound: I love the music in this game. It's very original and the music is
pretty good. While the quality is not the best, it's still pretty good. Sound
effects are a little absent and repetitive unfortunately.
Gameplay: A pretty cool sidescroller, though pretty simple, considering
the few things you can do as Klonoa. The only things he can do is jump
(hover for a bit if you hold it down) and grab. However, they made up for
it by the cool things you have to do to make your way through the level
and collect everything (Like wind vents, bombs, double-jumping, explosion
controls) though it does get boring every once in a while. Still, very good.
Hardness factor: The only part I had even a little trouble on was trying
to collect all the gems in the mini-games, but besides that everything
is pretty easy. They should have tweaked the camera a bit.
Overall: 7 out of 10. A very good game. If you have a GBA, you must
get this game.
